The unit is easy to install and works very well for about 2 years. I suspect that is because of the filthy water supply in this part of Texas. After the two years, the carbon buildup starts in all parts of the house. Your water supply makes a lot of difference. When it is installed, the Ice maker, works very well, also.

The EPINL30 filter has been my go-to choice for the past five years, and for good reason. It's incredibly easy to install, which is always a plus. More importantly, it consistently delivers clean water with a good taste, making a noticeable difference in the quality of my drinking water. The low price point also makes it an economical choice. While the packaging suggests a five-year lifespan, it's practically impossible to gauge the exact water usage through a fridge. Because of this, I opt for a monthly replacement schedule, ensuring I always have the freshest, best-tasting water possible. It's a reliable and affordable filter that truly performs.

One of these was installed in my house when I purchased it, and when I purchased a new fridge, I figured it was time to replace the in-line filter as well. Installation could not have been easier. The instructions are clear, but if you already had one of these installed, it's really just plug and play. Since my fridge was brand new, I wanted to preserve the filter that came with it as long as possible, since that costs about $50 and needs to be replaced twice a year, and this costs around $30 and is good for 5 years. I expect that it's going to really extend the life of my fridge filter, and honestly, this is the best tasting water I've ever gotten out of this house, with absolutely no detectable chlorine/chloramine taste, as there is with our tap water. I'll gladly repurchase this again and again.

This is my trusted inline water filter of choice because of performance and longevity. It has been performing like a champ these past 5 years, which is it's overall lifespan, and needed to be replaced. In the package you get the filter cartridge, and two metal grommets that go on the in and out lines of the filter. They are easy to install as you just press them in and attach the water lines to them. You do require some wrenches to tighten the grommet to the water line, which are not included in the package. My original filter came with the grommets already attached and secured to the filter cartridge. This one didn't and upon attaching the water lines to them, I did notice a minor slip as if they were going to come out of place. Hopefully not. Overall, this filter does perform phenomenally with perfect flow and pressure, crystal clear water and great taste. Definitely recommend based on performance and 5 year life span.

Easy set up, replaced a 90s filter that I couldn't find in retail depots.

Great filter at an affordable price. I could immediately taste a difference in the water after installation. There doesn't seem to be any issues with water flow when water is pumped through. Easily installed by just pushing the water lines into each end and done.

We moved and our new place had the worst tasting water (and it is even city water). The city water department assured that all was up to par, but just tasted Ugh. Went through a bunch of LG refrigerator filters and other brands, but still didn't budge the "burnt" chlorine taste. My husband decided to add an inline filter, and so began the Amazon search for the best in-line filter for our needs. Voila, this 5 year EcoPure was the winner. Super EZ install from the refrigerator angle valve (not under sink). Be sure and watch the video in the listing showing how to install. BTW My husband also purchased braided line instead of using the plastic one in the kit. He ran the line to the top of the refrigerator and attached the filter there for EZ replacement when it comes time for that. The other part we bought from Amazon for installation was "Refrigerator Water Line Kit - 10FT Stainless Steel Braided Ice Maker Water Line with Brass Ball Valve, Food grade PEX Inner Hose Fridge Water Line with 1/4" Comp Fitting and 1/4" Comp Valve". He wanted the shutoff valve, and the braided line - he already had a 10 ft braided line installed so this way he had braided line on the intake and the outgoing feed of the filter. Installation was very fast and he let the water flow until clear, and also threw out the first 3 ice cube dumps. Now the water and ice is wonderful and we are VERY grateful for that!

I installed the filter in the water line going to my refrigerator a year and a half ago. My wife and I were immediately impressed at how clean the water and ice from our fridge was after installing it compared to how it tasted before. The taste is still pure after a year and a half. The lifespan is said to be 5 years, but most water filters in our house never last anywhere near the manufacturer suggested lifespan, so I am honestly impressed with this filter. I've not noticed any change in the water pressure since installing the filter, which can be an issue with some filters. And I cannot complain about the price, considering most in-line filters that last only 3 to 6 months are around the same cost. Highly recommended!
