Good for small object closeups
Takes fair quality images of small objects closeup. This is not a zoom lens for far away objects.

I wasn’t satisfied
I wasn’t satisfied with my purchase. I wasn’t able to get it to work. Not sure if I was putting it on the wrong camera or not.

Just clip it on and shoot
I used the plastic clip and put the lens right over the case on my iPad Mini 6. My cat was sitting on my lap so I snapped his picture with what little light there was. The results were really good considering that I was struggling with the camera's autofocus. I'm sure that I'll get better results using AE/AF lock and better lighting. This kit is really well made. The lens is made from coated ELD glass elements housed in a full metal body. There are two clamps: one is all metal and will fit better on a phone without a case and the other is plastic with metal and works for phones or tablets with cases. The lens has a fixed focal length but the overall magnification will vary depending upon your specific camera's capabilities. Magnification increases with the distance of the lens from the phone.

crystal clear but not as “macro” as I would like
This lens is good and would be perfect if you didn’t have anything to compare it to. I have worked with jewelers loupes as makeshift adapters and they convey you to zoom way closer to objects. However, the quality of the glass on these Lens maintain a good quality in footage and basically lossless from Lens vs no Lens. This set comes with 2 mounts. One is a basic clip and one is pad that screws in. For ease of use, I find I prefer the clip and the screw mount requires a completely flat surface or pressure will be applied unevenly. I find the mounts to secure pretty good and have not had an issue with the Lens dropping. The zoom is decent but if you are looking for extreme close ups, this is not the best way. Check out jewelers loupes or digital microscopes if you’re looking for extreme closeups.
