They arrived fast, they’re small and will be easy to travel with - but the reason it says frequently retuned item? Because they take 2 9Volt batteries. Who keeps 9v batteries on hand? Not me! Can’t use them right away because I need to go get batteries. Updated to add: very loud and really help to add a level of security to wherever you’re staying.

I accidentally had it on and then I hit it- and it was on the lowest setting and it was still VERY loud. I am glad I purchased this item for hotel safety- its easy to use, as it is just a door stop, and it is VERY loud. I am unsure how long it keeps a battery charge, as I just got it, but it is VERY loud at even just the lowest setting- when I am traveling, I will still keep it on the highest setting as I am the heaviest sleeper but it remains very effective and I feel safer than before I had it for travel!

The alarm works great. It is loud. It just did fit underneath my front door. Would work for a bedroom door and probably a hotel door.

I got this for my niece to give her extra security in her apartment, and it’s been great for peace of mind. It’s easy to use, loud, and feels very sturdy. I actually bought one for myself too and now take it everywhere when traveling for hotels and Airbnbs. Perfect for home or travel safety.

Purchased these door stop alarms for a bit of extra security and protection. These are pretty effective door stop alarms when used properly. Installation: Install a 9 volt battery, set the sensitivity level from low, medium or high, turn from off to on, then sit the door stop directly under the door gap as close to the door as possible without pushing down on the stop plate which will activate the alarm. All in all a great little alarm that will definitely wake you up if someone tries to enter through the door, and yes it will stop the door from opening, the door stop has pretty good grip at least on wood flooring. This door stop is not going to fully stop someone from getting through the door if they are determined enough to do so, but this door stop alarm will definitely give you enough time to wake up and be prepared if needed.

Not useful. It's better to purchase motion sensor.
