Question 1

I've noticed that I need to add more humidor solution about every 2 weeks. Is that normal? Seems like it drops from 72% to 68% about every 2 weeks.

It depends on the humidity in your room and how often you open the humidor.   If your ambient air is dry, like in Colorado, when you open the box lid, your air is sucking out the humidity.   If you live in a humid environment like along the coast, you won't have that much variance.  I've had mine for two years and i've only added fluid a few times.   Another reason might be if your seal on the glass isn't well sealed, but I bought this item after much research and don't seem to have any issue.

One other thing you might do is buy an 8 oz bag of 70% humidity beads to which you will add distilled water.    Forget the propylene glycol solutions.   You will use a third of a teaspoon of the beads and mix with 2 cups of water.   Put them in a jar with a lid and let them set overnight.   The beads will expand and you can drop them into the reservoir with a spoon.   It will only use about a quarter of the mixture you just made.   Seal up the rest until the next time.   It should last several weeks and its inexpensive as the 8 oz bag of beads is going to make up a ton of solution.   The instructions on the bag is to mix 2 tablespoons with 12 cups of water, (that's 3 quarts and only 2 tbl's of beads).   I think this should help.   I think the box is well designed and made...unless you got a lemon, which might be possible, but barring that, you should have many years of usage without issues.   Good Luck!

I will be opening this once maybe twice a day.  Any issues with not maintaining humidity?

NO!!!   That's the short answer.   It was a concern of mine as most of the glass top humidors had a problem with inadequate seals around the glass.   And the gauge on mine is accurate as well since I tested it with a separate gauge and remote control, reader.   I also think that the design with the latches on the two sides help in maintaining a positive seal.   You definitely want to "season" the inside cedar lining to start with and they give you instructions on doing that.  Simple, but be patient as it will take a few days depending on where you live and humidity conditions there.

What are the dimension of the overall unit?

The outer dimensions are: 8" tall x 10" x 16"wide.   The inner dimensions that hold the cigars is: 5" tall x 8.5" x 14.5" wide... but remember there is a removable tray so you can separate some of your smokes and also the tray in the bottom that contains the humidifying solution is directly in the center in the bottom and you don't want to cover the slots.   I can keep about 60 cigars of a 50-54 ring size by 5-6" long.  I do keep a variet7y of sizes so I'm able to hold several sizes and about 80 of them overall.   I love this humidor and found that the hygrometer built in is pretty accurate as well.
