I canโt believe that Iโve been paying twice the amount for Primos!!!
So, Iโm a big time shooting stick fan and will not hunt without one. But, for the past three years Iโve had to buy new Primos trigger sticks because they would break (mostly the trigger extension release) every year. Also because they allowed me (at 6โ4) to stand and shoot. I was also hesitant because paying less than half price for these automatically sent me into doubting the quality. ***NOTE*** I WAS WRONG!!! As soon as the Vanguard Scout arrived I was in awe with the stoutness and quality. Light, but very, very sturdy! Bonus, it also extends to fit my 6โ4 shooting stance perfectly. The only thing that the promos HAD on the Vanguard Scout was the extension release trigger (you have to manually release extensions on this). But, the Primos would break under any kind of weathering, pressure, or anything else that might cause a little strain. Which is exactly why I wanted the manual releases. Because with the trigger release... if it breaks... at maximum youโll only be able to use it at the minimum height. The reason that I put so much effort in this review is because I didnโt want anybody else to go through my same issues and money unwell spent. Extremely sturdy, dependable, long extensions, and inexpensive. This Vanguard Scout is the only way to go!

Great for the Price
For the price this bipod is great. It is lightweight and pretty sturdy. It is adjustable to use laying on the ground, sitting, or standing up. Though when it is fully extended to use standing up, it is not as sturdy. I recommend this for sitting or laying down. The pivot works great; it is not too loose or too tight. It adjusts down to a good size to where it fits into my backpack enough that it won't fall out.

With a little grit. It will do the job great.
For the price this unit is darn good. The first set of slides dont clamp down well. This causes the rods to start slipping. However wipe a little wet sand on it. Run it in and out a little clamp it back down. It locks up nice and tight. I do reccomend!

Well made.
Seems well made and sturdy. Adjustable legs lock tight. V head spins to allow for staying on target. Light weight should be easy to carry.

Best bipods for the money.
Canโt ask more from a hunting bipod. The swivel is silent and the legs adjust super easily. They are the best bipods you can find for the money.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
OK, I live rurally. I go out my backdoor, walk 20 yards, and I'm in the forest. I walk in the forest alot and I shoot at targets of opportunity. Right now very little is in season and what is "in season" is just vermin. But I shoot anyway, at points on rocks, where a branch comes out of a down tree. Why? Just practice for when small game season opens in 6 months. So I've been testing this standing bipod that way. The short story... it works fine. If I manually adjusted the legs for each shot if it was a rabbit or squirrel it could be gone. I don't do that. I fully extend the legs and keep them that way. To adjust the height I push the legs out to make an angle and get rid of excess height that way. Much faster than adjusting the legs.

Light, strong, cheap
Little rubber foot came off about right away, same problem a few other people had. It is so cheap I didn't expect much but it is strong light and easy to adjust. It's not perfect but for what I paid for it it's awesome. Would definitely recommend it. Update- also works well for fighting off angry cows! I was attacked while out hunting and it worked like a champ at keeping her away. A couple hard walks to the head and just general jabbing, probably more painful for the cow because the little rubber feet came off. Never bent or anything!! Some of the guys said it was the best part of our hunt, watching the cow come after me. I'm so glad I could make there day and that I was carrying by bipod.

good product!!
The shooting bipod is well constructed and finished. Legs extend well and lock solid. Shooting head swivels very well. I have used it a couple of times and it performed very well.

Good quality for low price.
Pretty good for resting a shotgun on. You have to be careful that the gun doesn't slip though, I had it slide back a few times. The legs don't have pegs to stick in the actual ground so it isn't as sturdy as some others but overall a good product for the price. I might spray paint it because the black stands out a bit and is a bit shiny. I have used it twice, once in the rain and so far everything seems to be working well and I hope it stays that way.

Don't buy any other bi pod
No need to spend 180 plus on a bi pod. I'm located in the Yukon so it gets tested hard. Just as good as any other bi pod, and only weighs a pound
