The connector package is fine, but when using RG400 cable the ferrule inner diameter is too small. The cable was prepared and stripped. This was done using a Schleuniger coaxial cable stripping machine. The cable is RG400. The dielectric core / centre pin is inserted into the backshell of the connector and the braids taken over the rear crimp section. The cable ferrule slides over the cable outer jacket, but is too small to slide over the braids. The ferrule has a nominal ID of 5mm, but this needs to increase to 6-6.5mm to slide over the braid and become crimped. Is it possible to get alternative ferrules as currently these connectors can not be assembled.

I use it to assemble RG 400 cables. It can achieve all functions, and the interface looks very good after the heat shrink tube is put on. I recommend this product at this price.

The pins that get attached to the cables core is too small for even 75ohm cable. This kit is supposed to be for 50ohm and the pin didn't fit the 50ohm core or a smaller 75ohm cable. True waste of time and money

I used this to fabricate an RG 400 cable. They work well and the heat shrink provided is good to cover the ends after crimping. They appear to have the same electronic properties as other more expensive milspec connectors.
