will these fit on a fender bass guitar?

Fender bass guitars come with 1/2 inch and 6mm diameter pot shafts. Check your bass to determine the diameter of your pot shafts. For these knobs to fit you need 6mm shafts. The 6mm shafts are slightly smaller than the 1/4 shafts. The number of grooves or splines on your shaft should be 18. If your shafts are the split kind you can adjust the fit of the knobs better by expanding the diameter slightly by using a small flat blade screwdriver in the slot to gently pry the two sides apart.
