The ford store by us charged $75 to program it and it worked perfect in our 2014 Ford F150. The cost was great especially Compared to Fords cost of $250.

Recently purchased 2 of these for a 2019 F150 XL. Took them to our local Ace Hardware, which does the cutting and programming of these keys. Everything went smoothly, and they work perfectly. Excellent value.

Just like the original, was easy to program.

Once I got the key on this FOB cut ($20 at my locksmith) and I programmed the FOB myself using two other working FOBS for my F250, this FOB worked well BUT the buttons on the FOB took very little pressure to activate, to the point that my truck doors would lock or unlock while the FOB was in my pocket. I found a FOB cover with a clear plastic cover for the buttons which seems to make it harder for them to be accidentally activated.

I bought this key 5/2025 bc it lists my 2018 F150 as one of the vehicles it works for. PARTIALLY TRUE! I had a locksmith cut and program it but was told its the incorrect fob. Yes it starts my truck BUT bc its the wrong fob it sets off the alarm until I start it EVERY TIME! Also it does not lock and unlock remotely! Very disappointed. Thought it was too good to be true. I also went thru all the troubleshooting steps, twice.

This replacement honestly felt more sturdy than the OEM key fab. I was able to program it without issue with FORscan at home. The gear and spring are different than the OEM, so if you’re trying to reuse your key because the fab part broke (as was the case with me) you’ll need a roll pin punch to swap the keys out. Really not a big deal. Great value at $25, and I’ll be buying again if I ever need another key.

Love that Amazon has replacement key so can order it and get it quick! Great price and great quality:m. Battery life is what you’d expect on a key. Works well.

Programed without any issues for my 2019 Ford F150. Saved a ton of money doing this myself. My truck was purchased used and I was only given one key. -Key was programed using FORSCAN for windows software version 2.3.62 (needed to purchase 1 year license for $12) -I used the usb to OBD2 adaptor recommended by FORSCAN website. Amazon (Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter for FORScan HS/MS-CAN Auto Switch) $35 -My local locksmith charged $40 to cut the key. I've never used FORSCAN in my life but found it to be extremely easy to use. I used the add a key option without deleting any of the previous keys. The entire programming process only took about 5 minutes. My local dealership wanted almost $400 to supply, cut and program a new key. I did this all myself for $117 leaving me with the tools needed to make additional keys any time I want.

Its a shell not key. Its scam.
