Mechman Alterntors 370 amp Black Billet for 05-13 GM Truck

Most powerful alternator i have found. If you have charging issues. Battery voltage dropping everytime you come to a stoplight. Lights dimming. Fans slowing down stereo stops hitting hard. Engine starts running rough. then you need this alternator this 6 phase beast charges 200 amps at idle and 370 at hwy speeds and runs cooler than my previous 130 amp alternator. Voltage never dips. Rock solid 14.6 constantly. Beware you must add a 4/0 ground. And 4/0 power wire from alternator to the battery and a 4/0 ground one from engine to the frame and body big 3. Or this will make enough power to melt wires 4gage and smaller. This is the real deal. Not a swap meet or made in china product with inflated peak numbers that would only be achieved in A few milliseconds. this looks awesome and puts out. Must have item to solve charging issues.

I have a lot of consumers in my van. Thermoking unit( 5 fans), 2 fans for a/c, 2 fans for engine cooling, 1 fan for transmission cooling, 2 fans for a/c in cabin, inverter 110v with full size freezer, and when I use OEM GM alternator (120A) in idling voltage dropped to 11.3V. Long time I tried to fix it, but it was just only one right way for working properly: THIS Incredible MONSTER !!!!! Thank you guys, thank you for produce it, thank you Micheman! You are unbelievable!!! It cost all pennys , in full!!

My OEM alternator died. I needed to replace it but wanted to replace it with an upgrade one. Something nicer with a higher output since I had just recently added some Spall 16” electrical fans for cooling and will be installing a stereo system very soon and this is a 1995 Chevy Silverado that belonged to my father, who is no longer with us sadly. This truck is also my daily driver and it’s not the prettiest but it’s mechanically sound thanks to lots and lots of repairs and new parts! After looking around online and checking fitment for my make model and year I went with the Mechman for my truck and as you can see from the pictures the first issue after removing the old alternator is that not only is there only two mounting points instead of three, which isn’t a deal breaker honestly but the one on the left that locks it in place does not line up with the factory bracket hole! So I contacted customer service to ask them what gives? Their suggestion was chase it with a drill bit which normally I wouldn’t fuss about and would just do that and be good with it, but in this particular case, there’s no clearance for a drill to chase anything unless you on a right angle drill The other issue is there two different size holes to begin with the one on the alternator is much bigger than the one in the bracket, and they’re suggesting that you remove the extra material from the hole on the alternator, which makes it even bigger they provide a bolt and nut For securing, but although it fits the front hole nicely in the bracket, it would be super sloppy in the rear after removing the extra material. Instead of being locked in place by a bolt & nut going through two adjacent plates with the same size holes, it is only held in position by how much torque you put on the fastener and could shift and move or vibrate overtime due to the sloppy fit. You should For the price I paid I don’t feel I should have to modify anything especially when there was no mention of that or disclosure upfront. I am sure the internals for most, if not all of their alternators for other make & Models are perfectly amazing no doubt. I will never know! As you can see in one of the pictures I scribe around the edge of the whole, marking the amount of material that needed to be removed. Their only suggestion was if I didn’t want to drill it and didn’t like the way it was to just return it and they were unwilling to try to make it right in any other way! Could I make it work? Yes! Would it be satisfactory and probably work fine? Probably! is this the way it should be done by a made in the USA branded product who portrayed themselves all over social media, and the internet as being one of the best looking and performing products on the market? Not IMO! Yet this was perfectly acceptable to them, and they could care less, whether I was happy or not! I am currently in the process of returning the product and going with a different company for a different high output, alternator not as high as amperage doesn’t look as good but as long as it fits properly it’s still an upgrade for pops OBS! As long as I don’t have to go through the crap, I went through with Customer Service for Mechman who sucked all the excitement out of my upgrade not to mention the three extra days now for a total of six that I am without a daily driver thank God for work vehicles! I’m sure they have a lot of happy customers and amazing alternators that actually fit other makes and models unfortunately my dad’s truck and me are not one of them!

Yes the alternator was saying was not the right alternator not GM Compatible osteology will I have not used it but I’d like to return it to get the right one if that all possible thank you
