So I had a litebrite as a kid and this is very similar. It runs off batteries now instead of back in my day needing to be plugged in. It now has more of a tablet feel and is a couple of inches deep. I wish they had made a drawer on the back to store all the pegs, that would have been a nice update.

My 9 year old insisted that I wrote a 5 star review with SPECIFICS on this Lite-brite: -It is so much fun to create with -The colors are bright and fun and pretty -There is a built-in stand so you can display your creation -It has a battery-saver feature that allows you to display or use as nite lite and it will turn off automatically -The templates are fun and easy to use AND also fun and easy to make YOUR OWN creations. My 9 year old played with this every day since Christmas and she LOVED making a New Year's Day display on our "Food Island"! I was SO impressed with this Lite-brite!

fun quality little toy, throwback to the original. This one uses batteries , so i think it might be safer than the original (?). My nephew loved it. I think eventually he really kind of outgrew it, into trains and cars and remote control things now. Well made.

Love the stand on back to hold up when stored

Yo recuerdo haber jugado con los pinchitos clásicos cuándo era pequeña, así que se lo regalamos al peque de 2 años para jugar con él. Le gusta mucho, porque es muy llamativo y capta su atención. Es de fácil manejo, y le ayuda a ejercitar "la pinza", trae 6 plantillas para copiar dibujos que le vendrán muy bien a su hermano mayor. Los materiales son de calidad, y las luces tienen varias posiciones, todas encendidas, van cambiando las que encienden, parpadean todas... depende de las veces que le des al botón.
