Simple Houseware 6-Pack Magazine File Holder Box, Foldable Cardboard Organizer with Label Slot, Multicolor

I have invested in an amazingly large amount of craft books and how-to materials. I'm currently reorganizing my craft room, and I know that I've accumulated enough cross stitch patterns and charts that I knew I was going to be challenged to find storage for all of them to be on one shelf and to be readily available. I purchased this first set of 6 magazine files in order to begin putting my cross stitching patterns, chart, and books in them and to gauge how much more storage I will need. I'm delighted with these files: they have a diagram showing how to put them together; folding is how the files are "assembled," so they don't require any tools; they are easy to fold, they are quite sturdy for being made from cardboard, they are an attractive glossy black color, and their most valuable feature (for me) is that each one has such ample space for files, books and magazines. I also appreciate that once my books, patterns and charts are stored, I have the flexibility to position them so the contents are facing out toward the room, or to turn them around so the taller side is facing toward the room. My plan is to place them on my shelves so the taller side is facing toward the room and to label each to identify their contents. I would like to add one final point that was, in no way suggested or solicited by Simple Housewares. I've purchased several items from them in the past, and I find their customer service to be rapid in response to customers' calls and to be active in doing what they can reasonably do to solve a problem with their merchandise.

I highly recommend these boxes. They are sturdy, easy-to-assemble, and far superior to ones I’ve bought in the past. I really like the attractive color assortment and glossy finish.

These holders are heavy duty and nice and sturdy. I love the bright colors!

They were easy to put together and worked great for the paper storage I bought them for.

I ordered these to corral the endless supply of work-related materials DH receives. I had ordered a new bookcase, and despite endless questions to confirm shelf height measurements to make sure the file holders would fit, the holders were a smidge too tall. I cut them to fit, and they look fine and work well. But that's how I know they're flimsy: I cut them easily with a pair of ordinary scissors. They're easy to fold and shape, but use care that you don't create a fold where it doesn't belong. I nearly did so on the first one because the cardboard is that thin. But that doesn't mean they aren't effective or don't work--they are and they do! I'm happy with them. If I didn't have really thick double-walled ones from a past job, I wouldn't know any different. I wish they came in red for a little more distinction between them. But these are minor, minor things. These are great file holders and organizers. I may buy another set before all the reading materials are organized!

Pretty flimsy. They may last a year. Each one has a side seam that already appears to be wanting to separate. The price is cheap, and so is the product.

This is the 5th year I’ve ordered these. I use them to store my student’s duo tangs instead of them using their desks (they can never find anything in there). I place their picture on the short front side and they can hold up to 7 duo tangs. They take them home at the end of the year! Sturdy and convenient to assemble!
