Perfect fit in my slim cabinet
Works great, We had a power outage and my old unit never powered back on. This one was a perfect fit.

Terrible coil whine
This product came just as advertised, having a 6 pin connector for a GPU and 8 pins for my CPU power. However, right when I plugged it into my wall outlet and flipped the switch on it, I got the worst coil whine. This is before I even pressed the power button on the computer, so it was under no load. Once it is under load, however, it works fine and the whine goes away. If I put my computer to sleep or shut it off, it starts back up again. Not acceptable considering my computer is in my bedroom and I can't even hear myself think when it's shrieking the way it does.

A for Apevia: Very Good Power Supply 4 Computer Repair, Small Form Factor Desktop
Spent 3 weeks looking for a small form factor power supply unit replacement for an old desktop repair. Old HP Pavillion computer uses a microATX form factor. Depth into the computer chamber has to be less than 4" to fit the cabling to the internal motherboard and hardware. Very, very difficult to locate a microATX for factor. I wanted a price in the $20--25 price range. The Apevia came in high wattage. It has a power switch for on/off, and this is important. It was priced at $30. The quality is good. It looks very nice--comes in all black profile with black covered cables, so sleek and modern. Small size so fits where there is space limits. You will need to buy a adapter plate SFX to ATX. The computer is running, surfing the internet, typing in the review. If I had a similar repair to do, I would buy it again. With a discount code, this is a dope buy. 1 4 4

Seems to be working well however it smells like a burning electrical fire
Update #3: PSU died at just under 1 year of heavy/constant use. Warranty was great and I received a replacement. Put it to work in a chia mining rig to power 6 drives. Lasted about 6 months of 24x7 use. Warranty now states mining will void the warranty. At 30% duty cycle it might last a few years- heavy use less than 1. Update #2: I've now had this little PS for quite a while and it's been working great! In fact its been running 24x7 for the past 60 days drawing 250w in a small case running hot (75c) doing a little Ethereum mining ;-) Update: I've been using this PSU for a few months now. It no longer smells so whatever it was has burned off (luckily not burned up). It's been working great! My gaming rig is drawing close to 350W and it seems to be holding out just fine. I've been running this PSU in a smaller ITX gaming system for about a week now. I'm drawing 305W at the wall under full load so I'm running well under the rated specs. It seems to be working well however the smell of burning electronics is stinking up my house. I'm not sure if it's a capacitor burning up or some sort of dielectric grease used in the assembly process burning off. If the burning smell continues I'm going to have to return it which is a shame because A. It was a great value for an SFX PSU and B. 400w is plenty for most small ITX gaming systems.

Working great!
So far it is working great. It is much quieter than my last power supply but not as quiet as I had hoped but still so much better. Update 9/10/2019 - The power supply is still working but now the fan is going out. It is making some very bad noises. Just a few months past warranty so I will probably have to replace the fan myself. I guess you get what you pay for. At least it is still working and as for problems, it is a fairly easy fix. Not going to knock a star off since it did last over a year and is technically still working as is, I just don't trust the fan anymore.

Short lifespan
Wish I'd paid more attention to the negative reviews. Supply lasted a little more than a year, with no problems, when suddenly I noticed that the fan noise was louder than it had been. Didn't pay much attention to it, when a few days later it died (I could smell that something had shorted/popped). Not good, so now I'm looking for a replacement. I won't buy this brand again.

Great price, great support.
I purchased this for a low/mid range system going in a SFF case and needed a cheap SFX supply. The first one I ordered had horrible coil whine when powered off (5V standby), so it was extremely noticeable. Decided to reach out to support (Amazon was sold out so couldn't replace). They were extremely responsive and after I sent them some info (serial and copy of invoice), quickly dispatched a new one. Got it 4 days later and it's works great powering my i7 4790k and GTX1070 mini without issue. Fan is a bit louder than I'd like, but that's to be expected for a supply that only goes for $30. It's not horrible. All in all, I was a little disappointed at first with the quality, but their support seems top notch and ultimately got what I needed and quite happy with purchase.

Failed. Unreliable. Cheap.
Failed after two years. Only a 1-year warranty, which is a red flag. Cheap upfront, but not reliable. Would not recommend for anything important like a home server.

Nice but look cheap
Nice under no gpu load but it burn out during load test for total load 200W (i7 6th gen + itx 1050ti) Rated power is not real.

Solid and Affordable Power Supply for Dell OptiPlex 5050!
I used the APEVIA SFX-AP400W power supply to upgrade my Dell OptiPlex 5050, which is an office PC. It fits perfectly in the small form factor case and provides enough power for the system's needs. The installation was straightforward, and the unit is compact yet feels solid. It runs quietly, which is a big plus since this PC is mainly used for work purposes. Despite being an affordable power supply, it has been reliable, and I havenโt experienced any issues with stability or overheating. Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly, efficient power supply for a compact PC like the Dell OptiPlex 5050, this one does the job well!

Great general purpose PSU for a small ITX machine.
No complaints. Great size for an ITX system. Runs well with an old 6th gen PC for general computing.

Would not recommend for long-term reliability.
It worked perfectly for just under 2 years, when it failed overnight. I was using it on a server with 60W average power draw, with peaks of up to 120W. It died during a backup, at one of these power peaks. When it died, it started power cycling about once a second, destroying my boot SSD on the server. Would not recommend for reliability. Efficiency was not good either, as when I switched to a Gold rated power supply from a reputable manufacturer, power draw decreased about 15%.
