Get these speakers! Good bang for your buck!
Here was my criteria for buying computer speakers: - Budget friendly speakers for my work computer. - Best quality possible for the price point. - Must work right out of the box and be easy to use. - Volume control a must. - Headphone jack also a must since most of the time I will be using headphones as not to distract my co-workers. Originally, a co-worker gave me a new Logitech S150 USB Speakers with Digital Sound . However, I ended up purchasing the S120 speakers here on Amazon, and giving the S150 USB speakers away to another co-worker. Here's why: - Obviously the Logitech S150 does not come with the volume control knob, nor does it have the headphone jack. (But the S120 has both of these features). - The Logitech S150 model is USB. The S120, which I prefer, have the plug that goes into the green jack in the back of most computers. I consider my work computer a dinosaur (it is Windows XP). It had problems with the USB speakers. The volume, which could only be set by the computer's volume meter in the control panel, was all over the place. Like other comments I read, I had issues with the USB speakers since I primarily use my headphones. These issues involved the headphones not silencing the USB speakers. With the Logitech S120, when I insert my headphones, the speakers go silent (as expected). The USB S150 are "buggy" at best. The S120 works as you would expect them to. - One more note about the S150 USB speakers. I often found myself having to reboot my computer after inserting or removing the USB speakers. They really are buggy and messed up the sound settings on the computer. Rebooting, of course, seemed to fix the issue until I unplugged or replugged the USB speakers in again. Such a hassle. - Since I primarily use my headphones to listen to music while at my work computer, I am more comfortable with the Logitech S120 model. Like most headphones, the cord is really short. Before, I had to plug my headphones into the computer, which sits on the floor. This gave me a short "leash" of movement. Now, I bring these speakers out close to my computer keyboard, and plug the headphones into the speakers. I don't feel like I have short-leash syndrome anymore. - The S120 speakers, in my opinion, sound better than the S150 model and also cost a little less too! Since I'm in a work environment, I'm not going to be BLASTING these speakers (not ever). However, I did "test" them at home, and they can put out a decent amount of volume. I imagine if you BLAST these speakers often, they might not sound as good as they do at lower volumes. - One small "issue" I have noticed with these speakers only occurs when I am using my headphones plugged into the headphone jack on the speakers: In the left channel of the stereo headphones, I sometimes hear a small humming noise. It doesn't happen with the right channel. I've noticed if I move these speakers away from my computer monitor, the humming noise can be eliminated. I assume there must be some time of interference. I consider this a small issue since I can rectify it and also because these are not an expensive home theater entertainment speakers. They are budget speakers. They are what they are. If you need decent sound from small budget computer speakers, these are great. I'm thinking about getting another pair for my wife's laptop (for the times when she's using her laptop at her desk). These speakers are definitely a huge step up from the small speaker in most laptops.

Prefect from price to quality, just what I wanted
I love to watch movies, listen to music, on my computer but my volume on it isn't very good, I also listen to my audios why working around the home. I had a set kind of like this and was looking for another set because my last one broke from moving it from computer to kitchen listening to my audio. Haven't been able to find any with wall supply this small, not only that the bigger ones which are way too big for my needs were very costly. I need something that was small and didn't take up too much space. When I found this I was very excited, not only is the price right, but they are just the size I need. The only speakers I could find that would work for me were battery ones. I went through a lot of batteries before I found this set. I have bought several products with the Logitech brand over the years and have always been very please with their products. This is no different, they are made to last with heavy plastic that will not break easy, the cords are thick and can take some abuse. The cord between the two speakers is a good distances so you can get more of an all round sound. You are not going to beat this price, I was very surprise to find these so inexpensive that I could buy more for backup. There is no setup you just plug in and turn on easy as can be. I didn't expect them to be high end it wasn't what I was looking for, for me they work great, sound is good quality, and they are prefect for my use. I bought three sets, so I have a back up, They work so great the volume goes louder than I need it which is great you never know when you will need it louder and knew you can go that extra mile if you need to. Thrilled I now have one for my computer and one to set out in the kitchen for when I am working out there. Plus one I can set back or use in the car for my audios. I cannot tell you how excited I am to find this at this price and to have them work so well. I am over pleased and would love to give it more than a five star.

Great speakers overall
I had bought these speakers based on portability, inexpensive, and good sound quality. Before buying i read most reviews on it and looked up the specs. Facts about what i listen to: I like to listen to a lot of rap/hip hop, i listen to rock, pop, techno, dubstep. I do like bass heavy songs (rap, dubstep). I make my own beats using FL Studio 9 XXL Producers Edition, so im an audiophile and im 16 if that matters, but whatever. I own a numerous amounts of speakers 2chnl to 5.1 to 2.1 (Klipsch KG4.2's, Altec Lansing VS2421 (2.1), Logitech X-240 (2.1), Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system, Mirage 5.1 system, Creative Labs T40 (2.0), Bose Wave Radio, Bose 3-2-1, Kicker Kicker iK501, & Logitech Pure Fi Anywhere 2. SOUND: overall good, gets actually surprisingly loud, some distortion when turned past 75% (depends on the type of music and the song, obviously songs with strong heavy bass will effect the sound and may make the speakers distort. The speaker (driver)seem to be 1 3/5 inches/2 inches. They have a max output of: 2.3watts and RMS of: 2.30 which doesn't make sense to me. I assume the max power is 2.3 watts and RMS is 1.15watts. The response bandwidth is 50hz-20khz - to me anything under 80hz is barely audible. These speakers are ported, in the rear of each speaker there is a small hole. The bass is alright, but what can you expect from 10$ speakers? Depending on the song the bass can be more "full" - full, not meaning it sounds like theres a sub, clearly that would be impossible for this size. Mid's seem to be OK, needs more emphasis on vocals and deep voices. Highs are good, coming from small speakers you would expect them to be good and they are. CONSTRUCTION: perfect, cant say much, they have a volume knob and not push buttons unlike the Logitech S150 USB speakers, they're a little taller than a soda can, approximately 6 1/4" tall, and about 2 1/2" wide, they do offer a headphone jack also, and are magnetically shielded (means that devices such as a cell phone will not interfere and cause static in the speakers, this happens cause the cell phone "tries" to use the wire going into each speaker as a antenna and will cause static interference) (the Altec Lansing VS2421 are not magnetically shielded by the way, so i have experienced the static with those speakers). The speakers have a metal grill with tiny holes in them, they enclosure or housing is made of plastic. OVERALL: great speakers i don't know other 10-15$ speakers that could be these (so far, I'm always buying speakers lol. They're great for a desktop, if you dont want to spend the money and get a 2.1 system, they are very clear also. One more thing, sometimes i would leave them playing for like 3hours and the bottoms of each speaker seems to get "warm" not hot, but I'm letting you know in case of anything.. And when i have the volume turned up past 80% the power light (orange color located on the front of the speaker with the volume knob and headphone jack) will begin to dim and brighten, assuming this happens due to the power assumption at higher volumes. And when i said past 80%, i do care about all of my equipment, so i would only play it that loud if it does not distort and sometimes it doesn't, so don't think that i go around ruining my speakers - not saying you did, just saying LOL. I do not regret buying them either.

Little speakers, BIG sound...great for PC, laptop, and portable CD player (which I use as a bedside stereo)
I have to admit that I was more than a little skeptical that a pair of speakers at this reasonable a cost would have any semblance of sound quality or "oomph-ness", but these little buggers surprised me across the board in an extremely positive way! Despite their small stature (each is approx 6.5" tall by 2.75" wide by 2.25 deep...), they seem to be built well and they have some decent weight about them...unlike some I saw in the big box stores (it seemed for some of these that the cardboard box that some speakers came packaged in was heavier than the speakers themselves...lol). The design is sleek, and the installation was simple: A/C cord, 1/8" jack to connect to the PC, turn on the power knob/volume control, and away we went. The sound that came out of them shocked me in a great way. VERY nice highs (I LOVE crisp treble), good bass, great mid-range which did not muffle voices, and no feedback, rattling of plastic, or icky resonance of any kind--just my audio, crisp and clear! I intend to buy one or maybe two more for other devices so I will not have to unplug and re-plug...the low cost allows for guilt-free duplicate spending, even on my very tight budget. I will need to slap some electrical tape over the "NUCLEAR-orange" power LED for use in the bedroom as I try to sleep to my music, as it is INCREDIBLY bright...but this is an easy fix. I just received them, so I can't yet comment on longevity, but I am pretty certain that these will perform well past their expected "life-to-cost ratio". So...it goes without saying (but of course I'm saying it anyways...lol) that these speakers were well worth the meager investment! Kudos to you, LogiTech!

Amazing (for $10)
Audio Quality: If you're expecting to get a Bose quality system here, look somewhere else. You can tell that this system is not an eight-speaker surround sound high quality system, but with that aside, it has very nice quality audio. On songs with a lot going on, it can get a bit fuzzy, but quality per dollar, it's probably the best I've ever seen. I bought them for my gaming computer, but not being a serious gamer, I don't care too much about the quality. Even so, this has extremely good audio for size and price. Volume: I've bought plenty of speakers where you top it off and still barely hear the audio in most applications. That is NOT the case with this system. They get plenty loud and I've never had to turn it up all the way, even with quite music or softer YouTube videos. As the volume increases, quality stays about the same, as opposed to a lot of speakers where blasting makes your music sound horrible. Physical: The pictures of the speakers almost made me not want to buy them, but they look a lot better sitting on a desk than in the pictures. The volume knob and standard headphone jack are on the right side of one of the speakers, a bit awkward at first, but I've gotten used to it. The packaging was very nice and secure, and because I bought two sets, they both came in a larger box filled with air pockets, and each individual box filled with bubble wrap (almost as much fun as the speakers). I like the way the cords are set up. The standard headphone jack cord comes off of one, and the power cord comes off of the other. That way, it doesn't seem like one speaker is caught up in a whole bunch of cables. They are nice and small, and fit right beside my monitor. Overview: -Pros: --good quality sound --plenty volume --nice cable setup --small --packaged well --shipped early (3 days with Standard) -Cons: --kind of ugly, though not as bad as the picture --awkward knob location

Good Price/Mediocre Speakers
In hindsight it seems extremely unfair to expect a $10 pair of desktop PC speakers to have reasonably good sound, but based on the very high numbers of positive comments on the S-120s, that's exactly what I expected. The Logitech S-120s are essentially a self amplified low quality 2" tweeter in a lightweight plastic enclosure. The claimed 2.3 watts is highly suspect, and the stated 50hz to 20khz is simply a severe exaggeration. For $10 the Logitech S-120s can be a good buy on a fairly mediocre speaker if you temper your expections. In fairness, they're a decent value if you're not too fussy about sound quality The S-120s are a small step up from most of the stock speakers that come with a PC. This review may seem a little harsh considering the low price tag on the Logitechs, but had I read more realistic objective comments about the sound of these speakers, I would have passed on them, so I hope that someone gets a truer view of what they can and cannot do from these critical comments. There are undoubtedly legions of happy campers who own this little system, but you'll have to count me as a dissenter. On the positive side, they're small, easy to place, well constructed, and have an easy to reach on/off volume knob. If you have realistic performance expectations based on what these speakers really are, they'll be fine for many non-critical applications but there's no chance of these replacing a decent set of real audio speakers hooked to a real amplifier or receiver. The S-120s reproduce sound with some minor semblance of realism, combined with a fair amount of not so surprising box noise and amplifier hiss. The end result leaves them sounding pretty much like any cheap boom box type radio/music player with poor clarity, weak bottom end, and no dynamic realism. Logitech does offer a version of these speakers with a subwoofer called the S-220 2.1 for ~ $25, which would add some weight to the bottom end, but won't cure the many other ills of the sound.

Definitly worth it for the price
Not saying that this is a 50 dollar speaker quality, but it is kinda heading in that direction. The sound quality is definitly way past the 10 dollar and below line. It's a really good choice for home office setting or for students looking for cheap alternatives. Not my best bet for a small home theater setting (Even though the volume an definitly go up there without loosing quality). Some more detailed comment: 1. Bass Quality: The base is not very strong and can't really be boosted by some base knob (there isn't one). The base is definitly there, but it's not very prevalent. Kinda feel like if you are using some plug in ear buds. You can feel a bit, but there is no way to turn it up more from the hardware. I tried to see if I can play with the equilizer, but Win10 doesn't have a equalizer panel for this speaker (I have no idea why). 2. Volume: The volume can go up really loud. I tried to dial it all the way up and turn up my computer volume to 100, there is barely any loss on sound quality, which is pretty amazing, definitly good for parties. But if you want more base boom, probably not your best bet. 3. Sound quality: There are some very slight noises, this conclusion is from comparing this to my Sony WH-1000XM2. It's not a lot of noise, you will only really notice it if you actively compare and look for it, I guess. 4. Physical Apperance: It's small and lightweight, easy to transport and all. Pretty standard wiring and easy setup for wired speakers. The orange indication light is not as protruding or distracting as I initially thought it would be. The speaker is pretty compact, and can fit under my HP-VH240a monitor (on the tallest setting for the stand). The base is about 2inx2in, pretty good for tring to fit in some tight spaces on your desk. It is also light enough that can probably be put on a small shelf on the wall held up by command strips (My dad uses bookends for his more expensive ones and drill into the wall, similar concept here). Overall, I think it is not your best bet if you are looking for something high-ish quality, but for the price, you can very decent quality sound that is way beyond the price point.

Best under 15
First off, to the people that have had problems, Call Logitech. They have top notch customer service. These are warrantied for 3 years. Please remember that before you call them worthless. Give Logitech a chance to rectify the problems. Ok, here is the deal.....these speakers are what they are. A great sounding laptop speaker for under 15 bucks. Are they Bose? No, they are Logitech, which make an affordable product for the average user. I have been using Logitech products forever and I find they are top notch in the computer peripheal department. I purchase their products with the assurance that if there is an issue, it will be rectified. I have only had to contact them 2 seperate times. That is over 12 years and numerous purchases. Both issues were taken care of quickly and painlessly! If I have a choice between Logitech or another brand within the same price range, I will most likely pick Logitech. These speakers replaced a crappy set of nonname speakers. It is for a laptop and we use this for basic things. If you are looking for speakers that play music really loud, or if you are an audiophile, this is not the size speaker you need. You need to pay a little more to get a little more. All, in all, these are awesome, functional, light, and server their purpose for a miniscule amount of money~!

Stylish but not durable and repairable
The older version of these came with a UK mains plug - now it seems a USB one is more common and practical as it saves using another mains socket when linked with a pc. The units are stylish, but not durable - they have failed after only a few years' moderate use. There is no obvious way to repair them, as they appear to be 'factory sealed'- this is environmentally completely unacceptable. Logitech could and should do better.

Amazing Basic Speakers for the Price
For $20 these are an amazing set of speakers for your computer. My laptop speakers are far too quiet and suck for video calls/meetings and watching videos. All my problems are solved with these inexpensive yet loud and easy to use, and compact speakers. These are NOT ideal if your main purpose is for playing music as the speakers lack bass but great for everything else.

Good one but will have to get a step down transformer.
Does not suit Indian voltage. One will have to purchase a step down transformer as it works on 120 volts

Affordable and it works
I paid $18 for these, cheapest pair of computer speakers I could find on Amazon that don't connect via USB and instead just plugs into the 3.5mm jack of your PC/monitor/other source and is AC powered (outlet). Just be aware that you're not going to get studio sound quality with these compared to $200+ fancy speaker setups, that goes without saying. But honestly, they do the job and can actually get quite loud but obviously with no subwoofer, bass is nonexistent. I use these when I don't feel like wearing headphones. Remember the sound volume also depends on your source as well. If your source has a poor amplifier, don't expect these to perform miracles. They have a small footprint and are very lightweight but because of that, they're also very prone to being tipped over. No biggie, just a minor inconvenience.
