picked up a set for every firearm i own. these things just work and work well. you can even screw an extra bore brush on the end if you need it. this is a well thought out product. and it cleans well!

getting back into firearms after a LONG hiatus. When I stopped shooting my limited collection about 15 years ago, I just had the PIA steel rod and bore bristle cleaning kits that were a pain to use. I haven't gotten my OTIS kit I ordered yet(AR15 kit), but this did come. so I was able to clean the bore on my new M70 AK. I was able to pull through by hand; although it did take some grunt to do. Oiled a tiny bit with Frog Lube and cleaned the factory dirt and particles away easy enough. Shot the rifle for the first time yesterday(240rnds of cheap Tula ammo-supposedly "dirty/corrosive") and used this 2x in my bore and squeaky clean. This will stay in my collection for sure :)

I am a bit obsessive about keeping my possessions (tools, firearms, knives , my truck -ect.) in top working order. This also means keeping everything Clean, for keeping the barrel of my guns(.30 cal) while in the field clean- this little ripcord does a wonderful job, it will allow all my brushes, patch holders and swabs w/8/32 threads to be quickly attached and run down the inside of the barrel and quickly rolled back up for an easy storage. I spray the outside w/ a non-solvent cleaner after using because the puffed up area that does swab, gets dirty w/ the residue of copper,lead and by products from shooting- Great device for anytime- I use Lucas or Royal Purple gun oil and Hooples #9 cleaner- never a problem w/ any of my firearms when they stay clean and oiled
