Barcelona Writing Desk

Very pleased with the quality and sturdiness of this desk after all the cheaper desks I've had in the past. I'd decided it was time for a "real" desk that would last. Delivery service was excellent and scheduled with us ahead of time (LTL UPS Freight); packing/wrapping was also excellent; assembly was painless; loved the style and finish. Drawers and pullout keyboard tray workly smoothly. Pleasantly surprised at the provision for cables, cords and connectors at the back center of the top and the built-in USB hub. Also pleased to see that the cut-out can be completely covered attractively if not needed. Was so pleased, I ordered a matching file base and bookcase top which were as thoughtfully designed and built as the desk and also delivered beautifully.

I was a little skeptical at first when I made this purchase since the desk is pretty large and I didn't know what to expect as far as how it would be delivered and in how many parts it will come in. When the desk arrived, it came in one big box and had only 3 main parts - the main desk section and the two supporting legs. It was fairly easy to put them together though you'll require at least two people to help do so (the desk is HEAVY!). Overall, I love the sturdiness of the desk and the overall look. The quality is very good and I'm glad I bought it via AMAZON and not through any of the other companies that were asking for so much more. The only problem is that this box is large and very heavy. When the UPS guy delivered it I had to help him move it into my house with some effort since it was just THAT heavy.

The desk was a little difficult to assembly. Very heavy and all solid wood and wrought iron. Great height. Works well in the den which it was purchased for.
