I have owned a Plantronics Bluetooth Legend for a couple of years and love it. But eventually the battery stopped taking charges. Hesitant to spend the money on a new unit, I purchased a refurbished unit from Tech Union on 8/28/19. The unit arrived and sounded great, paired with my phone, but the microphone never worked - people I called couldn't hear me, and the voice-to-text generated garbage. So after trying several solutions (upgrading firmware, resetting the device, recharging the device, loading the PLT Hub iPhone app and using it, and loading the Plantronics Windows-based Hub and using it - and then working with Plantronics product support - all to no avail, I requested a replacement on 9/19 from Tech Union. This device failed in exactly the same ways as the previous one. Both were junk, so I requested a full refund and will purchase a new one, which is what I should have done three weeks ago! Lesson learned: never trust refurbished products!

Works super well - connects to my PC (MSI Ghost GS60 with updated bluetooth drivers) and my phone (Pixel 2) simultaneously. Noise cancellation is phenomenal, and the earpiece is great - it doesn't seal out outside noise, but I can still carry on a conversation even while biking on a road in windy conditions. Around the house, I forget that I'm wearing it because it's so light and comfy. My only issues: - I wish it had a play/pause button so that I could play/pause podcasts while biking or walking around the house. As-is, I can use the Assistant button and say "pause playback" but that takes ~7 seconds that I don't want to spend when someone's trying to talk to me and I just want to pause real quick. I'm not sure why the Mute button doesn't do this. [UPDATE: if you hold down the button on the end of the mic boom, it eventually gets to play/pause, but that's not obvious or fast] - I had to update my computer's bluetooth drivers before they worked. I think this is more of an issue with my PC, but could be good to know. - audio quality on the microphone isn't fantastic. I think this might be a limitation of the bluetooth version, but my voice comes through with what I think of as "regular phone quality" rather than "crystal clear". When the microphone is on (eg. when you're in a call), the audio in your ear also switches to a lower quality mode - sufficient, but not fantastic. I also tried the Plantronics Voyager Legend , and this is practically the same thing plus a USB port for charging without a specialized dock thing.

Couldn't live without this a lifesaver.If you want to do things while somebody's on the phone with you

This headset works great with Iphone, but not so good with Windows PC via bluetooth. If you are looking for a headset for PC you need to purchase a different model that comes with a dongle. NOT really sure cause my $20 knock off worked great with Windows 10 PC, but i lost it and it didn't work as well with range and or noise canceling. Be careful if you are planning on using this device with PC. It will only do music and or output audio to the headset. Seems like they just wanted to make more money by requiring an additional purchase of a whole different headset.

This is the only bluetooth earpiece I've ever liked. I bought the refurbished one, and it's fantastic. I've bought a number of the $25 to $35 bluetooth headsets recommended by Amazon. My experience with those has been less than stellar. They break easily, they drop connection to the phone, they're slow to pair when you turn them on, the sound quality isn't great, and the noise reduction isn't great. This headset is none of those things. This thing connects almost instantly when you power it on. The volume is nice and loud for a very clear sound. The noise reduction is shockingly good. I was in a warehouse under construction with someone using a skillsaw only a few yards away. The person I was on the phone with could hear me better than I could hear myself. They didn't even know I was standing near a saw that was in-use. The battery life is good. Not stellar, but much better than other devices I've used. It'll go 5 hours of talk time most days. The app you install on your phone actually lets you change useful settings on the device, and it updates the firmware. Firmware updates actually offer new features I like, so that was a pleasant surprise. Build quality is great. It feels solid and well constructed in your hand. That means it weighs a bit more than the cheap ones, but I prefer that.

Great deal! While I'm always careful buying refurbs, electronics with non-moving parts are usually good to go because they've been inspected and tested before they go back out the door. Such was the experience here. True to its reputation, this headset has performed with amazing noise-cancelling results for both my phone and laptop through heavy conference call usage. I've used it successfully in noisy environments and the caller on the other end heard me clearly. It's loud enough for most scenarios, but I find myself often holding my other ear to drown out background noise - just a natural hazard of any one-ear design I suppose. I had wanted one of these for a while, so was happy to get in on a nice refurb price, and even happier when it worked as promised. UPDATE: I had to add this because I'm still blown away by this. I've had the headset for months now and use it frequently. Today, I had to take a call while I was still on my commute. With this headset, I handled a detailed work-related technical discussion while getting off a bus, walking through Port Authority bus terminal, and walking through midtown Manhattan during rush hour. I apologized to the person on the call for the background noise, to which they responded "what noise?". Unbelievable!
