This is a very nicely done bucket toy set. I have three kids, so we’ve bought several bucket sets in the past, but they were the cheaper ones that you can find at the big retail stores. I was expecting this one to be about the same as those, but it is so much nicer!! In those cheaper sets we’ve bought from stores in the past, the filler pieces (like the rocks of trees or whatever) are made of the cheapest, thinnest, flimsiest plastic. The rocks get crushed, the trees won’t stand up, pieces are broken off very easily. But with this set, the extra pieces like the rocks, coral, and seaweed are made with a very thick and much heavier weight plastic, so they hold up to play, and the coral and sea weed actually stands up and doesn’t fall over. With the other, cheaper sets, my kids would always get frustrated that the trees/coral/etc would fall over and not stay where you put them, but that doesn’t happen with this set. The pieces are very well made and detailed. The coral and seaweed have a nice texture as well. My kids love building dioramas with their sets, and showing us what the designed. They love how the pieces don’t fall over and move just because you happen to breath on them. As for the animals that come in the set: there is a reef shark, clown fish, jellyfish, sea turtle, and more. They are also very detailed and well made. They are heavy, and will hold up to a lot of play. My only complaint is that not all of the animals are made on the same scale. For example, the clown fish, shark, and sea turtle are all almost the same size. Also, the shrimp and jellyfish are made with a lighter weight plastic than the other toys, but I don’t mind, and my kids love having a jellyfish and shrimp in the set. You don’t see those included in sets like this really. Another cool aspect is that the lid on the bucket turns into a play piece and can become a part of “scene.” Such great detail went into this toy design!! I love the thick, durable bucket it all comes in. That makes it very easy to clean up, and for traveling! We took this on beach vacation so the kids could have something to play with during the moments we were stuck inside, and it was a huge hit. And so easy to clean up when they were done. All in all, I am so glad I purchased this set, and look forward to purchasing the other ones that are available. I’m never wasting my money on any of those cheap, lousy sets from the other places again. Such a great toy for all my kids, who range in age from 2 to 9. They all love to play with it.

I ordered these for Christmas presents, and was very impressed with the quality for the price! These have a generous size (I was expecting small like army men) and they have real weight to them. We haven't had them long, but they seem to be durable enough to withstand my three boys. Would definitely recommend! (The only small flaw to me is that the lids didn't lock well into place; they fit fine but knock off easily. Not a deal breaker for us!)

Best animal figures for the price and it’s not even close. Could easily sell for double and still be a good value. Figurines are heavy, durable, and very detailed, absolutely not the cheap plastic ones you’d normally see. We bought all three and have bought more as gifts.

This was my 7yo Christmas gift and it was a hit. Got it during prime days so the price was great. I was surprised to see the size and quality of the toys. Some of the animals are fairly large and heavy. They have a high quality feel to them. She loves this set. Great price for the quality of the toys. The bucket does not close after building the trees and trying to fit them all back in.

I purchased both the Fossil Expedition and the Wildlife Safari Expedition. Both sets are great quality and come with landscape accessories. The Fossil Expedition includes 10 sturdy dinosaurs, two different sized prehistoric trees that you need to assemble, 7 fern-like looking plants and 3 different sizes of plastic gray rocks. The bucket is durable and the inside of the lid has a dinosaur landscape scene that can be used as part of imaginary play. My youngest son likes the T. Rex the best in this set. The Wildlife expedition is my daughter's favorite. She just adores the mama elephant with its baby. You also get a Cheetah, a Lion& Lioness, Giraffe, Zebra, Nile Crocodile, Black Rhino and African Buffalo. All animals are self standing, well made and nicely detailed. With this bucket you get 2 different sized trees that you have to assemble, 7 pieces of plastic grass bunches, and 3 different sizes of plastic gray rocks. The inside of this bucket also has a built-in river stream play scene. My children are really enjoying playing with these animal figures and we have spent time together reading about them and making new play scenes for them. Great for play or for a home school learning session.

Got this on a prime deal and it was definitely a steal! I didn't realize how much stuff came with it. It comes with a bucket to store everything. The box it comes in has cut out activities for kids to do. It came with one sheet of stickers. The quality blew me away. I thought these would be the typical cheap store quality but I was wrong! These are so durable and not cheap at all. Kiddo is so happy to have this and I'm happy to have a high quality bucket of animals. I will be looking into other animal figures from the company and hope they live up to the high quality of this set!

Excellent job National Geographic. They captured great detail in each animal. Each animal STANDS UP EASILY (amen) and isn't falling over. They have a little weight to each one too, so not hollow made of cheap plastic. They is an excellent toy, gift. Hours of play time fun.

I purchased the Dinosaur kit and was impressed so I immediately ordered this set. I usually never take the time to write a review but both kits are ABSOLUTLY AMAZING. They will really last a long time in my preschool and I intend to purchase more for my grandson. They are made with great detail and durability that will last a long time. 100% hands down fell the price is worth the purchase.
