wasn't sure what was wrong with my Champion 7500 watt generator. Just quit generating during the night after a hurricane (apparently overloaded). After troubleshooting (youtube videos), everything seemed to be working correctly. Unfortunately, there is no specific check for the AVR. Soooo, if everything else is working, the AVR must be bad. So I ordered this - came with new brushes. Received it pretty quick and found it seemed heavy duty and well built - as well as the brushes. These are very easy to remove and replace, and during removal, I decided to go ahead and remove the brushes as well. As it turned out, even though the brushes passed the voltage checks, one of the brushes (dual brush type) was completely melted and jammed off to the side. I replaced the brushes with the new ones that came with the AVR, reinstalled the old AVR, and the generator is good as new. Keeping the new AVR just in case.

According to the description this should have fit my Powerstroke 6800-7500 Watt generator. The mounting holes all seemed correct, the colored wiring was a little different but the positive (+) was correct. There was some major differences in the imbedded electrical parts and what I think is the relay, is way bigger. So it's not OEM or universal. I don't use the generator every day so getting the AVR on time and correct wasn't critical as of this week. So I took the new YAMAKATO AVR to a mechanic and asked his opinion on the comparison difference. He said as the longer relay isn't touching a moving part it should be okay. He also said the difference in the imbedded part being different, he said it's probably an upgraded design from my 9 year old one. So I installed this slightly different YAMAKATO and my generator works perfectly.

This part was the perfect fit for my Powermate 3250/4050. Had some voltage spikes up to 287v in 120v output. After replacing with this product, problem solved. Great price for good quality. Just plug and play.

Perfect! Predator 8750 W generator had 36 V. Installed this new AVR and brush kit. Generator now puts out 120 V. A very nice Parts and fit perfect.
