The brush has a lid that you turn around and pop it into itself to make it longer. But it's not made well enough to stay together well so i tend to use it with it shorter (with the cap pushed in) by about half way. I can still use it fine bc of my small hands but if yours are normal size I might not recommend it for you.

This works so good. I was amazing everytime I dipped my brush into the slip solution has easy it was to move the polygel.
