Seems to be pretty good quality
Item is as described. Arrived on time. Could have been packaged a little better as the plastic container was broken in shipping, but did not lose any of the small screws or nuts. Overall a very good transaction.

I used these to make some test adapters for troubleshooting.
They hold up well as long as they are not overheated when soldering wires to the pins. The back-shells are light weight but are quite adequate for the project I am using them for. As with any connector that is filled with some type synthetic material, be extremely careful when soldering the wires to the pins.

Low end connectors
Low quality connectors... pins are formed/stamped tin; no plating on female contacts; male contacts are plated or bare copper; insulating plastic is low temperature (not teflon). Vendor needs better quality control - one connector was missing several pins (see picture).

These are the lowest quality dsubs I have ever used. I do not recommend.

Use only in a controlled environment
Electronically these work just fine when new. I installed the connector inside an airplane wing and the connector electrically failed after 10 months. Severe corrosion on pins and connector housing. This product is not suitable in weathered environments. Connector pins are not gold. Corrosion issue is bad!
