I bought this lid as a replacement for an old one whose gaskets were getting nasty. It was about the same price for a new lid as a set of gaskets. Well, the new smaller gasket for the cap has already broken after 5 weeks. This is the second time I've taken in out to clean it and the gasket is already torn in half and won't seal anymore.

Cheap flimsy knock off product - not insulated like the one that came with the bottle; o-ring just is there not actually creating a seal or otherwise performing a function. Might as well have bought a whole new bottle instead of replacing the lid .

When turned upside down, the large-cap cavity fills with water. Turning right side up again dribbles water everywhere. This is not a catastrophic leak, but it's too much for me.

The "sealed" plastic containing the product was ALREADY OPEN. And the product fell out of that hole and was actually intended to fool the customer thinking it's new because ITS WRAPPED IN SERAN WRAP WITH A STICKER THAT SAYS "NEW". Even the SERAN wrap had holes in it!!! This is a joke. They probably just gave me someone's return or recycled junk and passed it off as new. Ridiculous.

I was really disappointed with this lid. I love the form factor, but after a few days of use the cap starts to get this gross smell, and no matter how much I cleaned it, it didn't go away. Because of this, it's basically useless. I went with the flip top (Takeya Actives Sip Lid, Wide Mouth) lid instead and it's much better. It doesn't get smelly, and you can just toss it in the dishwasher.

The plastic seal that prevents leaks from the inside of the cap broke after less than 6 months of use. Would not recommend!

Bought a new lid for my original Takeya bottle but found out it’s missing the smaller O-ring for the spout. I lost the same O-ring on the old lid and now I have two leaky lids. Frustrated with the quality of this product. Check your O-ring upon arrival. The product video clearly shows a larger O-ring inside the lid and a smaller one for the spout. The official website sells the pair as well. The new lid is clearly defective.

Does not fit TAL wide mouth bottle as it claims. Will be returning.

The size of the lid sits nicely on the Takeya bottle. Don't see any negatives so far, will update if they appear.
