... but pay attention to the sticker on the plastic bag and a page buried in the back of the user manual because they contain vital instructions on igniting the bulbs for the first time. We must prime the bulbs by switching them off and on quickly 10 to 15 times during the first use.

I purchased this due to fatigue, low vitamin D, and a bit of seasonal affect disorder (winter blues), and poor immune system function during cold dark winter months. In the Northern Hemisphere living in the NorthEast USA we are mostly deficient in Vitamin D due to lack of Sunlight, especially in Winter months. The Sperti sunlamp supported an increase in my Vitamin D bloodwork levels (as measured by my physician) to within therapeutic range in short order. It supported an improved mood, as well as greater vitality and less to no illness over the past winter season that I used it. I don't use it in the summer months, but shortly after we set the clocks back in the fall and get significantly less sunlight I set it up and use it daily for about 5-6 months of the year. It has kept me healthier overall in addition to my regular health routine. I recommend this as an adjunct to your health care, especially for getting the appropriate amount of vitamin D through UVB light, which supports immune function and decreases depressive symptoms as a bonus. At 5 mins or less a day it is simple to add to your health care routine. Happy sunning!

This past winter I started having some health issues and found through routine testing that I was Vitamin D insufficient. Normally I get tons of sun in the summer, but rarely any in the winter. I tried multiple brands of Vitamin D supplements, all of which made me feel terrible and despite battling through the feeling my levels barely went up. By accident I stumbled upon a Reddit thread talking about the Sperti lamp and decided to give it a try. I was a little concerned about the UV exposure to my skin, but then realized that the brief five minutes of usage is nothing compared to the hours I was spending on the beach or outside without a shirt on regularly. Sure enough, I started noticing improvements almost immediately after using it and did not have the side effects like the supplements were giving me. I actually had to cut back a bit after the first week because it gave me insane amounts of energy and caused some mild insomnia with my Vitamin D levels being so low already. After a few weeks of usage I got into a regular routine and feel MUCH better! Follow-up blood tests have shown that my D levels are back in the normal range as well, so it definitely works! My only recommendation would be to go slow and easy at first and get used to it to see how you feel, this lamp works amazingly.

I've been using this UVB lamp regularly since buying it in July or August, and it definitely has had a noticeable positive effect on my health and wellbeing, likely due to correcting a serious vitamin D deficiency. The most astonishing result has been that the swelling of a lymph node on the back of my neck completely subsided after being various levels of swollen for 5+ years, which I believe was related to a chronic scalp infection which also drastically improved while using this light. Vitamin D supplements never did that for me, even at doses as high as 10k iu per day, and I'm not sure they ever did much for me to begin with, other than giving me abdominal pain. I have also noticed that my sleep is significantly better on the days I remember to use the light — now I become naturally drowsy and fall asleep quickly like I used to, and I sleep all the way through the night for a decent amount of hours rather than waking up after 4 or 5 hours of restless sleep like before; plus improved dream quality and recall. Other than that: Most of my brain fog has dissipated, and I generally have more energy and initiative than I did before. And my lower eyelid has almost completely stopped randomly twitching after 5+ years, though this was a later result and might be more related to getting more potassium in my diet; but I have had adequate potassium in the past without the same result, so I think the vitamin D deficiency must have played some role in that previously. After doing some research and reading various discussions about it online, I didn’t follow the provided schedule (5 min 3x/week) for the first couple months, as I was sure I had a severe deficiency from mostly staying indoors for 4+ years and needed some serious help. After feeling substantial improvements in my health in response to regular usage of the light, I lowered my exposure to the recommended amount for maintenance, and this seems to be working well. Maybe that was a stupid and reckless thing to do, I don’t know, but I have played fast and loose with the southern sun many times in the past, which is much more powerful than this lamp, so I felt relatively comfortable adding time via exposure to different body sections (i.e. 5min torso, 5min back, 5 min butt and thighs) and additional sessions for a couple months. I understand and accept that this almost certainly voids the warranty, and I will need to buy replacement bulbs sooner... worth it! I haven't been to the doctor to get anything tested so I don't know if I actually have adequate levels of vitamin D or not, but I feel much better than I did before getting the light. I have been and will continue to recommend this light to anyone who can afford it, especially in my city where there are very few sunny days and many people work and spend most of their free time indoors. I will also be purchasing one or two more as Christmas/birthday presents for family.

I’ve been using the Sperti Vitamin D lamp for the past two months, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. When I started, my vitamin D levels were at 23 ng/dL. After using this lamp for just 5 minutes every other day, my levels have increased to 35 ng/dL in only 8 weeks. That’s a significant improvement in a short amount of time! The lamp is extremely easy to set up and use. It has a built-in timer, so I don’t have to worry about overexposure. The design is user-friendly, and the compact size makes it easy to store away when not in use. I simply position it about 15 inches away from my skin, set the timer for 5 minutes, and let it do its magic. The results have been fantastic without needing any additional supplements. For someone like me who doesn’t get enough sunlight, especially during the winter months, this lamp has been a game-changer. I’ve noticed an improvement not only in my vitamin D levels but also in my mood and overall energy. If you’re struggling with low vitamin D levels or just want a natural way to boost them, I highly recommend the Sperti Vitamin D lamp. It’s definitely an investment, but it’s worth every penny for the benefits it provides.
