These cameras tend to live their own life. The set up although not difficult it is not smooth, I had to repeat some steps as it would just go blank. The camera outside thinks for itself. Sometimes it decided to pick up a motion and sometimes it won't. The battery is a laughing matter. It would probably last 90 days if left in the box and never triggered. I have installed my cameras outside the house, after a week front was showing 58% and garden 72%. I got to add that cameras were switched off from motion when we were at home. You can do the maths. Very dissapointed.

Reliability: I ordered four of these cameras two years ago. Now, two of them have failed for unknown reasons. One stopped charging and turns off unexpectedly while in use, while the second started drawing too much power and drains completely within a day. It's not a bad battery, but the processor overheats. No signs of moisture penetration were found in either of the failed cameras upon opening. I've now ordered two more replacement cameras, as I have a receiver kit and the others aren't compatible. Operating: at night in the rain, it's practically impossible to see anything—the IR backlight obscures the camera. Also, the rubber plug on the charging port needs additional waterproofing. I taped a piece of tape over it so it completely covers the rubber plug. And of course, camera resolution is quite outdated in today's world. License plates and faces are difficult to see beyond 10 meters. Also, please note when ordering that the camera itself will not work without the receiver. The picture shows the camera and receiver, but in reality, they only sell the camera without the receiver, even though the price is almost the same as the kit with the receiver.

the outdoor camera cannot work alone, it has to be paired with an in door receiver which is not included in this product. Return process is not user friendly, I need to pay the posting by myself and claim back from the seller. Has been sent out the return item for more than a week but still not receive the refund.

This is the third of these I have bought. After the latest update from Xiaomi it has rendered the three cameras practicality useless. The time it takes for the camera to wake up means people and cars can enter the area and leave without getting caught on camera. Battery life is 60% of what I used to get. If I could undo the last two updates the camera would be the best

The initial set up was very easy and I have the camera about six metres from the hub. The camera came charged and so I could install immediately. The pro's: 1) the camera image is very good for the price of the camera 2) as I have said installation is easy. The con's: 1) unless you have a solar panel to charge the camera in situ each time you want to charge for camera you have to undo a very small grub screw which holds the camera in place on the camera base plate 2) the recording are on 15 secs long 3) the camera doesn't trigger a recording for anything less than a human - doesn't record the dogs which poop in our garden 4) night vision on the camera is not worth having - you can't see a thing. All that said I am buying additional camera's to increase the views I can protect.

I got excited when I tested the kit (base+camera) as I was travelling and needed something quick to install around the house. The range between tge base unit and cameras is decent, I managed to put 4 cameras outside the house (thick cement walls) with no issues at first. Each base unit can be linked to a maximum of 4 Cameras. Picture quality is one of the best I got at this price range. Motion Detection: very weak and defies the purpose of a security CAM. It only picks up and records motion when the action is quite close at the center of the lens, so you end up seeing a quick flash and most of the time it misses the capture all together and you only see a video without he actual “intruder” because the recording is always triggered late. And the maximum length it records is 15s clips. Replay and access to live/recorded footage is much slower when I compare to other ssystems installed at the same location (Tapo as an example) Camera/system went off line twice during my 10 day testing period for no reason at all and had to be reset / 1 camera re-installed. Now the real issue comes down to battery life. After I tested all four cameras, I charged them to 100% and placed them back last Saturday. Today (8 days on) The reported battery life on the 4 cameras are: 3% and now camera is offline 5% 15% 16% Extremely frustrating and disappointing when the advertised battery life is for 90 days. It’s just ridiculous that they only last about 1 week. A real shame because it was a very promising solution and a well built product with excellent picture quality. But for now, save your money and try other products like EUFY or TAPO (Wired but best in class for the price range I tested).

I charged the battery on 7/13 and it is only 23% left and it's only 9 days after.

Aktif olan %28 şarja indi, diğeri hala %72 şarjı var. Eğer ilk defa alıyorsanız en önemli nokta bu kameranın tek başına çalışmadığını bilmeniz gerekiyor. İç mekan alıcısı olmadan bağlayamazsınız.

Amazon has just opened services here in South Africa and unfortunately are already selling "pre-opened/returned products", the camera had already been opened and had a scratched lens. This was not what I was expecting from Amazon, also their return policy involves printing labels and physically taking the product to a Courier Guy office, where the service from Takealot is so much better. Not a good start for me with Amazon South Africa My other camera's function well and so long as there is not excessive motion, the battery life lasts months and the visual quality is good

This camera Must be paired with the base station. it cant operate like other wireless cameras without it.
