A Feature-Packed Receiver That Punches Above Its Price
I’ve been using the Denon AVR-S760H for a while now as the centerpiece of my home theater setup, and honestly, it’s one of those purchases that feels like great value every time I turn it on. Out of the box, it feels like a well-built piece of gear without being overly bulky. Setup was surprisingly easy thanks to the on-screen guide—it walked me through everything step by step, which made the whole process a lot less intimidating than I expected. The sound is where this receiver really shines for me. With 75 watts per channel, it has more than enough power for my living room setup, delivering clear dialogue, solid bass, and a nicely balanced overall sound. I’m running a 5.1.2 setup, and the Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support really adds depth—especially in movies. You can actually hear effects moving around you, which makes everything feel more immersive. I use this receiver for movies, music, and gaming, and it handles all of them really well. Switching between inputs is quick, and once everything is set up, it just works. Streaming music from my phone is seamless, and I like that I can also connect a turntable thanks to the phono input. It’s not perfect though: The 75W per channel is fine for most setups, but if you have a large room or power-hungry speakers, you might want something stronger. It’s clearly more of an entry-level to mid-range receiver, so hardcore audiophiles might want something higher-end. Overall, I’m really impressed with the Denon AVR-S760H. It strikes a great balance between price, performance, and modern features. The sound quality is clean and immersive, and the feature set feels future-proof without being overwhelming. If you’re building or upgrading a home theater and want something reliable that covers all the essentials (and then some), this is an easy recommendation.

Sounds great
Nice A/V receiver. Clear sound. Setup with supplied microphone went fine. Has eARC, coax or optical for TV sound. Phono input if you have a turntable. Optical input for CD player. Various sound fields selectable from remote. Setup with TV makes easy adjustments. Adjustable LFE subwoofer outputs. WIFI streaming, Bluetooth and USB. Does everything I needed.

Great unit with lots of features
This unit has a lot of great features, and a really great value for the money. The sound quality is excellent, and it has a very nice automated speaker setup with the included sampling microphone. It tests the mic in 6 various positions and guides you on-screen through each step. It works well with my Samsung TV running Amazon or YouTube TV. The HEOS internet radio is an awesome feature, I was able to find my local radio station and add it to favorites. The unit also has built-in wifi, which is great to add the internet radio and updating firmware without having to connect a network wire (although wired LAN connection port is also included). The only thing I added was a wireless/bluetooth transceiver to hook up the rear surround speakers (I'm running a 5.1 system, although this one can do 7.1). The unit has bluetooth for input, but the speaker outputs are standard powered except for a pre-amp line out for the subwoofer. It's got plenty of power for the average home theatre, even for a larger living room.

Excellent value for the money but took off one of the stars
I am I am quite happy with this receiver And it has the latest specifications for video. I use it with Spotify and it delivers excellent sound quality. There are only 2 reasons That I did not give a 5 star rating. The default input levels are quite low and I had to go into the menu and manually increase the gain to maximum for all of the inputs. If you don't do that you really have to crank up the power to get a decent amount of sound But once I did that I am satisfied. It is loud enough for my use but If you if you have a large room you might want a more powerful unit. The other reason was I was disappointed by the broadcast am/fm radio sensitivity. I have cheap pocket radios that pick up stations better. On the positive side, I was impressed And how well it rejected any type of noise from nearby electronics. I have never seen A device that is as good as this Injecting noise. The built in ability to use internet radio stations Is excellent using the Built in Tunein app Which has hundreds of commercial radio stations Across the country. By far I use this Much more than antenna. As far as I can tell the antenna does not support FM sub channels But the Tunein app has most of them. One thing about Tunein, I have the paid subscription. That also includes commercial free channels However if you want to access those channels that are commercial free You will have to use Airplay on your phone. If you just use the built in Tunein app It plays the regular commercials. This is not a fault of the receiver I checked the Tunein website they just only support Certain platforms For the ad free Subscription. Overall this provides an excellent Commercial radio experience If you're into that sort of thing. I definitely recommend this Unit just know that you're going to have to tweak the settings To get the volume up. Most people don't use radio anymore so that's a non issue For many users. The manual is good but found just asking Microsoft copilot Answered my questions.

Straight forward durable design Denon for the win!
I love this receiver! So far, so good! I'm still connecting my devices & sub-woofer. Speakers sound great, on-screen info is a bit outdated, yet works fine & is an easy set-up. Great value, seems to run a bit warm so I hooked up a small fan near it to make sure things stay cool as I have a bunch of connections to complete & my gaming set-up. Dials seem durable, built well and connectivity is plenty for most set-ups IMO.

DO NOT BUY!! ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Unit was a bit difficult to set up and configure with Audacy. Performed as expected. A few months after setting it up, the unit posted an error message that an automatic update had failed. I clicked setup, and ultimately figured out that (a) there was no longer a network connection (i.e. a live ethernet cable was still attached) and (b) the Denon AVR-S760H disabled any changes to the network via the "settings" (i.e. configuration) button. Then the fun began. Went through several rounds of "service", with Denon's technical support staff basically saying "reboot it", and then "send us a network information screen shot". I had already told them up front that there was NO network connection (i.e. DHCP was OFF), and that the unit would not allow a change . It was as though their "tech" never ready my emails or the problem description. Third response: "Send it back to the factory service center for repair". Well, there's two problems with this. 1) Their "tech" never bothered to read the problem description, nor attempt resolution. And 2), this home theater unit was set up last summer to be ready for family to visit from 1000's of miles away, for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Their "solution" costs me money to ship the unit, and makes their unit unavailable to me, when I need it. So, I'm going to reset the unit to it's baseline, go to the HOURS it took to configure and set it up again, to see if I can resolve the issue on my own, to see if we can keep it working through the end of this year. Otherwise, I'll end up dumping this unit at about half what I paid for it, replace it with a competitors unit, and NEVER BUY DENON CRAP AGAIN. (Yep, I'll probably wait until next year before I reset the unit. It works well enough for now, i.e. HDMI input and output, as long as I don't try to actually use it connected to the internet.) You may have better/worse experiences. As of today, this unit is on sale for $50 less than I paid for it, i.e. a pretty good deal. Just remember that "Denon Customer Support" is an illusion; there won't be any of that.

Wonder Sound Capabilities for the Price
I’ve been using the Denon AVR-S760H for a few weeks now, and it’s an incredible addition to my home theater system. The setup was fairly straightforward, and I was able to get it running with my 7.2-channel surround sound setup in no time. One of the standout features is the Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, which really elevates the sound experience without needing ceiling speakers. The DTS Virtual adds a new level of depth, creating immersive audio that makes movies, games, and music sound phenomenal. The 75 watts per channel provide more than enough power for a standard-sized living room, and the sound remains clear even at higher volumes. The 8K upscaling is a game-changer for those who want to future-proof their setup, especially if you plan on upgrading to 8K content or displays. It also works flawlessly with 4K content, providing crisp visuals and smooth performance. The built-in HEOS functionality is a nice bonus, allowing me to stream music wirelessly throughout the house, and having Alexa voice control makes it super convenient to adjust volume, switch inputs, or control playback without having to reach for the remote. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this AVR. It offers fantastic performance, advanced features like Dolby Atmos and 8K upscaling, and easy integration with smart home devices. If you’re looking for a high-quality receiver that’s both powerful and feature-packed, this is a great choice!

This receiver fails to disappoint.
Our 20+ year old Kenwood receiver was starting to crap out in some of it’s functionality. Because it was a surround system, we needed a new receiver that was readily compatible with our subwoofer and speakers. After a lot of research, we decided on this unit and are completely satisfied with it. Setup was straightforward, once we connected it to our smart TV (setup instructions/functions are on the connected TV). We did need a few adapters to connect some of our vintage components, but no biggie. Love that we can control the unit with our hand held devices due to the receiver being online. Pretty sure that we are nowhere near using all of the features/capacity that this receiver provides. Regardless, amazing sound profiles, relatively simple setup and ease of use make this Denon a winner, IMHO.

DENON nunca decepciona

So easy and sounds fantastic.
First of all, it arrived a week and a half early so that was great! I have a 25 year-old Denon (no ARC support of course ~ new TV required an upgrade) so I was confident that the quality would be there, I was just unsure about how user friendly it would be to install as the old beast required just short of an engineering degree when operating the remote. Well, to my pleasant surprise this thing was dead-easy, walks you through the whole speaker set-up with the mike, and components...it was actually fun and, does it ever sound awesome! It put my old Wharfdales to the test and we can't wait to get back into some killer home theatre. One of the reasons I chose this model is that it supports phono so I can still throw a record on the platter when the mood strikes. If you are looking for an upgrade I would recommend this receiver. The remote is very simple as well. So happy with this purchase...didn't break the bank. Glad to see Denon still rocks!

Feature packed AVR for cheap!
Bought this AVR from Amazon due to supply chain disruption leaving Dubai with no supply on mid spec AVR. I spend more time deciding on a step down transformer due to the 120v rating of the AVR and the 240v rating at home. Managed to get one from Amazon again and been a few weeks. No complains so far. Hopefully this one will last as long as a my previous decade old Onkyo.
