I wish I would've had this thing along time ago. It works great, very accurate. I would recommend getting the holder that attaches to your pole, it is sold separately.

It keeps your phone on the pole but I thought it got in the way when I have a fish on. It was useful to a point.

It’s the weirdest idea of a fishing tool ever, I am making cast to see fish, instead of catching them. I have to carry an extra rod, use my phone, and analyze sonar data, instead of making cast to catch fish. I am already on the bank and know how to fish cover there. Why would I prospect with this heavy ass ball and scare every fish in the water off the bank? It’s great product and it works incredible well. But I make cast to catch fish, not see the what’s in the water. Also you should only scan where you can cast your lure. There’s no point in launching this thing to cover a lot water, if you can never get a lure there. It’s just a weird concept for bank fishing. It’s probably x10 better in a kayak. But annoying on the bank.

This item works well holding the phone on the rod. Problem I have is my phone locks after a few minutes (I could probably fix that if I was not an analog guy living in a digital world) and in order to unlock the phone I have to use the fingerprint reader which is on the back of the phone covered by the bands that hold the phone to the rod. Other than that, this works well.

Used with larger, older, I-Phone 6sPlus. Works great! Even without cell phone service. Used blue thread-locker and 30lb test braided specter line, on a spinner reel. This item came with the Deeper Pro + Sonar bundle for free.

I ordered this after I ordered a deeper smart sonar/fish finder(which is awesome btw, even tho it's their lowest/cheapest model)to be able to mount my phone on the pole I use for the deeper sonar. Overall I'm impressed with the phone holder/mount minus a couple of minor things, one being that the o-rings that they send with the holder were way too big for mounting to my pole, especially where I wanted to mount it so it's comfortable for me to see, while still being able to operate the pole. Thankfully I had 3 different sizes of o-rings from something else I had ordered a while back from amazon, where you mount a molded plastic piece to your pole to hook your lure or hook to instead of hooking your eyelets which can damage the eyelets. If I didn't have those on hand, I wouldn't have been able to use the holder until I was able to track down and buy some that would fit. In one of the pictures you can see how big of a difference in the sizes of o-rings, The big one being the ones they sent, small are the ones I ended up using to mount to my pole. I think instead of sending the customer an extra pair of the large o-rings, they should send out a couple of different pairs of different sizes, which would be alot easier and better for the customer than them having to try and find some on their own. The only other minor thing, which I'm not saying is the products fault or anything, maybe it's more of a tip for whomever buys this. But when I cast the deeper smart out, even tho the phone holder wraps my phone nice and tight, even with my defender series otterbox with a pop socket on it(which is impressive on its own that fits my phone, which is an s21+)I will hold my phone to the pole with my right thumb, just because I don't feel comfortable otherwise. Like I said, I'm not saying that the phone would fall out while casting as I haven't tried and won't, I'm just saying if your paranoid about it happening or are unsure if it will hold it, try holding your phone down while casting by putting downward pressure on it, essentially pinning it to the pole. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the o ring situation.

A mio parere è un accessorio indispensabile per utilizzare al meglio il Deeper. Applicato sulla canna permette di fare tutte le azioni necessarie e vedere comoda e tecnica in tempo reale la scansione del fondale. Per sicurezza l’ho provato prima con un vecchio cellulare, forzando i lanci e agitando pesantemente la canna ma non si è spostato e non ha mai evidenziato criticità, il telefono è sempre rimasto al suo posto. Per il momento sono molto soddisfatto.
