3M Aura Particulate Respirator 9205+, N95, Individually Wrapped, 3 Panel Flat Fold Design Allows for Facial Movements

These N95 respirators are comfortable and fit securely. The foldable design makes them convenient to store and carry, and the nose area adjusts well for a snug fit. They feel lightweight and well made. I’m very satisfied with the quality and would purchase them again.

This is the gold standard for masks. A must when traveling, since everyone is always coughing at the airport. It's as comfortable as a mask like this can be, and having the straps go around your head instead of ears means it won't hurt your ears like a lot of the cheap KN95s do.

3M Aura Particulate Face Masks; pack 20; N95; white. I am a man, 6’ 1” tall, 170lb. My face/head would be considered more of the long, narrow type and usually home to a short beard and mustache. Throughout any given day I wear contacts/prescription glasses, sunglasses and/or safety glasses 99% of the time. I am not a robot, but sometimes wish I was (never trust a robot). Likewise, I am not paid by 3M although I wish I was. Like many, I have experienced my fair share of masks and there are a few key features that are absolutely necessary if one is to be donned for extended duration due to occupational necessity or government mandate. 3M’s Aura provides all these features making them my choice, my recommendation and my only written review. *Masks are NIOSH N95 Particulate Respirators which means they have been tested and confirmed to perform to a specific standard. It’s your responsibility to know and understand those standards and what they mean for protecting your health. It’s important to note that adding any prefix to the N95 designation automatically negates these standards. For example, a mask labeled “KN95” is not equal to, or an acceptable substitute for a N95 mask. *Straps that wrap around the head completely. These masks provide 2 reliable elastic straps that do not use your ears to hold itself securely to your face. There are no special pieces or additional accessories needed to extend the straps completely around the head and neck. *Each mask is Individually wrapped and sealed in plastic. *Metal strip of adequate length and fortitude combined with ergonomic design features and a foam gasket provides a leak free seal around the bridge of the nose and cheeks. NO STEAMED UP GLASSES. This may be the most important aspect of all. *This may sound a bit shallow, but these masks don’t make you look stupid. Not quite sure how else to say it. I only wish they made them in black. Other features include a chin tab for easy donning and adjustments which is nice particularly if you are sporting a beard or facial piercings. Also handy if you need to pull the mask down often, to speak for example. Each mask stores flat. They are deemed disposable, however at home or in the shop I will often reuse them within reason as they are certainly of sufficient quality to do so. No broken elastic straps or irreparably deformed metal nose strip. These masks work, and if you wear one long enough you will be able to see discoloration of the material (inside and out) caused by all of the crap being trapped within: a good indicator for any filter doing it’s job. Dig? Word. 3M is an American company with a laundry list of awesome products derived from the creative ingenuity found nowhere else in the world. The 3M Aura mask is no exception. I take comfort and pride in that. Take my advise and spare yourself the foggy glasses. If you have to wear a mask 3M is the way to go.

The only mask that keeps out all the perfumes that drive me nuts. But weirdly when you first unwrap them they have some kind of nasty Fabreeze smell built into them. I have air them out before using. I wish they didn’t impregnate the scent into the fibers. I wonder if they make them unscented as well?

Can't speak to the effectiveness of these masks. I haven't had any respiratory diseases but there's absolutely no way to know whether I would have if I hadn't been wearing the masks. But they are N95, so should protect against viruses, and they are constructed in a way that doesn't require them to be prefitted. The nose piece is moldable, but more importantly, the bottom goes under the chin for much better protection. The straps go to the back of the head, not the ears, so they stay in place. Also, they stand off slightly from the nose and mouth so they're a little more comfortable for long term use than others. I've used them for 8 hour infusion sessions with reasonable comfort.

They are very effective, I use them at my workplace.

I've tried seemingly every type of N95, KN95, and KN94 mask, and without question, the 3M Aura 9205+ remains the standout for long-wearing comfort and efficacy. These masks hit the sweet spot of filtration, breathability, secure seal, durability and COMFORT. They are one of the only quality masks that I can wear for hours without irritation, and honestly, if I use only one of the two bands, they still stay secure. The Aura comes in 3 styles: 9205+ These are the classic boat-style masks with the blue "rubber band"-like head strapsc that are very stretchy. This is my preferred style. 9210+ The exact same mask except the straps are a white stretch fabric that doesn't "relax" as much over time. So these are theoretically higher quality straps but they are definitely not as forgiving as the blue 9205+ straps. Better perhaps if you have a small head or if you don't mind a super tight fit. 9211+ These are just like the 9210+ butt with an added respirator, so they protect you but not those around you, and because the air you breath out escapes more easily, you'll stay cooler in hot weather. I ordered this "Pack of 20" from an Amazon seller called Business Supplies & More. I thought I'd be getting 3M 20-Packs, but clearly they are buying bulk 400-packs, breaking them up and selling them as "packs of 20." I wish I had the 3M box but these masks are individually sealed so it's ok.

Good quality, fits the face very well with a good seal.

Good value when I purchased them for my son due to his medical needs. Price has seen been climbing. There are a couple drawbacks. 1) the wrap around elastic break, usually one will break. Also, my son has a large noggin and the masks barely fit his head. Although, that is not the reason the elastic breaks, as I wear them and the elastic breaks and I have a much smaller head. However, all that being said, it is a good product and it is good to have 3M continue to make these type of N95 masks, as they are one of the only companies I trust in this field of manufacturing masks for medical needs.
