Great weatherproof cover
The mounting is easy and the inserts for single/double outlets are really nice. I used this to for the outlet I run a cord from to my ditch pump for irrigation. The cord I use is 10/3 and that is that absolute max that can be worked into the lid cord notches and still be closed to be weatherproof.

good fit, good quality
Good fit on a ca.1998 outdoor electrical box. Since screw holes lined up, it took all of 3 minutes to swap with the old cover. The enclosed box will allow me to use AC-adapters with this outlet, without them being exposed to rainfall. It feels sturdy and latches tightly. It wasn't necessary, but I used the snap-in non-GFCI plate for a cleaner look. It screwed down tight to the ca.1998 vinyl siding. If this was a high-exposure area, I would also caulk the edge of the new cover as recommended, but it's snug enough that I don't feel it's necessary. Only concerns: Clear plastic may age/scratch outdoors and turn yellowish. And this cover doesn't have multiple sizes -- it's probably an inch "taller" (from the wall) than the maximum I actually needed. Overall, very pleased with the design. Recommended.

Great Product
Please ignore any negative reviews. This a a very high quality product made with heavy duty plastic with the hinges, cover and inserts all machined to fit perfectly. The gasket is thick and covers the whole back except where the outlet is so provides great water protection. There will still be some uneven surfaces where you should either fill potential paths for water with silicone sealant or not use this type of cover. Put the top side of the rectangle outlet insert (single or double) under the gasket with the flat side with numbers/words on it facing outwards. Push in the bottom side firmly to get it inside the gasket as well. The inserts for the wire holes fit snugly in the middle of the cut outs. Put the round side in and push firmly on the flat side until it is all the way in. The screws supplied are a bit short but you don’t need them since you have to remove the outlet screws to connect this cover so just reuse those longer screws.

It Will Keep The Rain Out.
Works good, easy to install. The quality is ok, it should do the job.

Outdoor electrical outlet cover
Serves the purpose. Easy to install. Would be nice if it were made a little stronger. Seems like it would break pretty easy. Probably have to replace it more than I would like.

Excellent While-in-Use Cover for NEC Compliance
I used the Leviton 5981-UCL While-in-Use Cover to replace the original 50 year old outdoor outlet covers on my house. The original covers were water resistant only while not in use. Inside the covers, I installed Leviton GFWT1-W Self-Test SmartlockPro Slim GFCI Weather-Resistant and Tamper-Resistant Receptacles with LED Indicator. The cover does its job of providing weather protection while a cord is plugged into the receptacle. Small plastic slugs are used to seal off the underside of the cord pass-through while no cord is in the receptacle. To fully utilize the while-in-Use feature, the plastic slug needs to be removed from the cover. My only concern would be misplacing the small slug once I remove it. It would have been nice if the cover had a built-in storage slot to hold these slugs when they are removed and cords are plugged into the receptacle. I will have to remember to tape the plug to the inside of the cover. This is not a deal-breaker. This is the best while-in-use cover that I found in order to bring my outdoor plugs up to current NEC standards. I like the see-through cover better than the opaque covers because anyone who needs to use the outlet can immediately see where it is without having to guess. This also discourages people from flipping the cover open to see what is in there. The less tampering and fooling around, the better. The cover came with a high quality gasket that sealed the back side against the exterior wall. Caulk should be applied as necessary but I did not find this necessary. The cover is attractive and provides excellent protection and weather resistance.

Good seal, a little overpriced
Got this to add an outdoor outlet. The rest of my house uses these covers so I decided to use the same even though there are many equivalents for a better price. I like that the foam seal is pretty thick and covers well past the outlet box. Shouldn’t have any problems with it leaking.

Nice Solid Cover ... With One Oversight
I got five solid colored units. They are sturdy, have all the options (decorator, two gang individual, switch, circular) and the hinge and latch seem quite robust. I replaced three "while-in-use' covers that were shot and yellowed, and two of the hinged access in order to convert to "while-in-use". The oversight is the comically short screws provided. These screws will work in one situation only: The outlet box is flush with the wall. If you have a box that is back even with a stud, and you have plywood, wrap, and exterior finish adding to the box depth from the outside wall, the supplied screws are worthless. Just make sure you have a supply of various screws on hand before you start installation (my existing screws were all rusted). Not one of my boxes was far enough forward. Counter head wood screws will work fine into plastic boxes. Half star off for this lack of vision covering this variable. Also make sure you have top clearance for the hinge, and bottom clearance for your fingers to get into the latch (like if the outlet is over-counter and vertical). The two individual cord cut outs for the duplex and the unused hole cover wafers are convenient. Overall a very good product from a brand name ... except for the ridiculous screw length.

Good quality - happy with purchase but....
Very Good quality - happy with the purchase but.... It was just a little too small for the purpose I needed it for by about 1-2 cm. Could not fault quality of the product, just my measuring skills.
