A very solid knife.Cuts great and very comfortable to hold; the blade deploys easily and the lock works in a simple yet effective manner. I have not needed to really use the lock though since the blade seems to stay in place just fine and has not slipped once! I have a blade sharpener and I have yet to replace or snap off the first blade because the sharpener has been keeping this knife nice and sharp. The way the extra blades are stored is really cool and even though I haven't needed it yet, the way you can just pull out the spent blade and immediately deploy the next one by just pulling back the slider is innovative and effective! The only hiccup I had was when it deployed two blades at the same time for a few cuts. It only happened once for a few minutes and I am fairly certain it was just user error caused when I put the knife back together after looking at how the extra blades were stored.Still, it didn't hurt anything and hardly subtracts from the quality of the knife itself. I would not call myself a knife or box cutter expert by any means, but I would certainly recommend this knife to others!

This blade works great! I use it for cutting up boxes for recycling. It is a SOLID knife, which makes it heavier than my old plastic handle knife, but it's well balanced and not too heavy. The red sliding button makes it easy to extend and retract the blade. It pops up and locks the blade in place. I had no problems with the blade shifting during use, but there is an additional locking screw at the front of the blade that will keep it secure in any position. The locking screw will also act as a safety device if you screw it down when the blade is fully retracted. The yellow plastic thing is for snapping off the used part of the blade safely. I haven't used that yet but it looks like it will work. The packaging doesn't give a lot of information about the product, but there are videos about it on YouTube. The blades are really sharp and I think this knife will last me "forever".

This is the best snap-off Utility knife ever. I contacted them and found it is a new start-up brand - Kutir - produced by three brothers and they are already ahead of the "big name" brands. The knife has a great handle and very comfortable feel in the hand. The handle is highly ergonomic and has ribbing to prevent slipping both when bearing down with forefinger and also when pulling back to cut. The metal parts are a Zinc Alloy that is rust-proof. The removeable cartridge holds five blades for easy changing, and the blade in use has a great, positive action lock to prevent blade slipping on hard-to-cut materials. The blades are 18 mm width for cutting thick materials and they are very strong. This is the best utility knife I've ever had - bar none. Almost a home run, but fell a little short. Feels great in the hand, and easy to get leverage. Does not slip when handling it as the rubber parts really secure it nicely in the hand. Blade is sharp and I still haven't needed to break off the first blade section so this knife is going to last a while. The knife is bigger than the others I have used, so finding a place to store it in my tool organizer has been an issue. I want it right where I can get it but it ends up in a tool box as it doesn't fit into the organizer. The only reason it lost a star is the propensity of my thumb accidentally pushing on the blade release located on the left hand side of the unit - this causes the blade to retract into the unit and happens a lot to me (I have big hands so this might affect the positioning). In large jobs I have started putting duct tape over the handle to keep the blade lock from being activated) Overall I like the knife despite the one flaw.

Just now bought this again for myself after initially buying one for my elderly father who needs SIMPLE. This way exceeded my expectations for this type of cutter/utility knife. Most of this style I've seen are cheap and feel that way as soon as you pick it up. Not this one. This has weight and a quality feel to it from the get-go. I have a bunch of these - DeWalt, Kobalt - heavy duty quality AND hard to use. Replacing the blades is a chore with the removal of the old, finding the new one, installation, locking, etc. But I bought them because the other break-off blade type utility knives (like this style) where flimsy and cheap. This is quality and SIMPLE. I was super impressed when I visited my dad and used the one I bought him - so now I ordered one for me. Don't be mislead by the looks and design of this model, it really is far better than your likely impressions from using the cheapies and the blade change design is SOOO much easier/faster then the lock & take apart models. It also has a safety lock feature to reduce the chances of accidental cuts from carelessness - nice idea.

Got this knife because the reviews were good, and it was dramatically cheaper than the big name alternatives. The first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the box was how heavy it was. This thing is built like a tank. I honestly doubt I'll ever need to replace the handle. The blades are sharp and I'm still on the first and it seems to hold its edge really well. I like that the extra blades all fit in the handle, so I'll have them on hand when I need to replace the blade, and they're autoloading so I won't even have to open up the knife. I tested the autoloading feature by pulling out the loaded blade, and it worked easily and smoothly. I'm super happy with the knife, and if I need another razor knife I'll definitely buy this one again. Top notch customer service as well!

I got this utility knife a couple of weeks ago. I bought it based on positive reviews on Amazon and so far I have not been disappointed. It is a sturdy knife and feels good and secure to hold it in hand. I especially like the security lock feature. It can lock the blades inside when it is not being used, so the blades will never accidentally get out. You can also use it to lock the blade when using the knife to ensure the blade stays strong and stable. In addition to being a perfect utility knife, I also recommend the product based on my interaction with the maker of the product. They answered my question promptly and provided helpful additional instruction. They seem to genuinely care about their product and would go out of their way to make their customers happy. I would definitely want to support small business owners like them!

The knife is alright. Majority of the material being cut is rigid foam from 1"-2". The blade storage is a great part of the knife. The problem I have with it after an hour of use is the lock on the end. The lock on the end seems like a good idea on paper. The trouble is the lock sticks out the side of the knife near where you are cutting. So depending on the cut you are making, the screw for the lock is in the way. The screw itself should have left hand thread instead of right hand thread. When you righty tighty, the blade becomes unlocked and when you lefty losey the blade gets tightened down. It is counter to what you think it should be. It adds a level of stopping, changing train of thought, on a project to lock or unlock the blade. Overtime the small threads are going to strip depending on the use. I tend to retract the blade after each use for safety reasons, so the lock started to not get used. And at that point I could go with a regular knife.
