Incredible for carving! If you’re a serious carver of wood pull the trigger, it is worth the money!

Surprisingly good for the price
For the money, this thing works great. I used it to skin and “straighten” 30 white oak fence posts and it worked flawlessly. One guy was complaining about it *only* lasting 7 years… come on man, you ended up paying $18/year for it. That’s a bargain. Mine still has a ton of life left - and even if it wouldn’t cut another shaving, I can’t complain. Hell it was only $129! I’ve found more loose change than that in my couch! You definitely need a face shield. I would also recommend gloves and some sort of upper coveralls. I use my welding jacket and gloves.

Arbortech tools make woodworking easier
The proof was in the using. Intimidating at first but then you try it, you'll relax at the ease of its cutting action. I'm not a pro but it easily flattens rough cuts and smooths to my satisfaction.

Works very good
Making my first dough bowl and the turboplane did what I needed to hollow out the inside. It's a messy job anytime but if you're covered with sweat it's worse.

Works Like a Charm, but is Over Priced
I have used this TurboPlan a lot. It does get the job done, but it kicks up some serious chips and cost too much. $30 less and it would be a steal. Quality very high, easy to use, price hurts the soul.

needed to do some shaping of wood for brackets and this thing does a great job easy to connect to an angle grinder and grinds wood well with the three carbide blades not sure how much it will be to sharpen but there is nothing else like this to do this type of shaping work with wood

Hallo, ich kann die Arbortech Turboplane Carving Scheibe als 1a Produkt bewerten. Beim Kauf vor drei Jahren wurde mir zugesichert, dass die Scheibe hält, was Arbortech verspricht. Das ist eins zu eins aufgegangen. Leider habe ich letzte Woche eine fette Schraube im Altholz übersehen und ein Zacken aus der Hartmetallscheibe ist ausgebrochen. Trotzdem kann ich noch immer damit arbeiten!!! Jetzt habe ich mir zu Weihnachten allerdings eine neue Turboplane gekauft. Mein schönstes Geschenk. Ein großes Lob an Arbortech in Australien, so ein gutes und sicheres Werkzeug auf den Markt der Holz-Carver hervorgebracht zu haben. Liebe Grüße aus Bayern
