Works fine
Was exactly what I needed to change the lock on my gun cabinet. I had lost the key and luckily the cabinet was not locked. lol. A lot cheaper option that the locksmith. They turn as well as I would expect.

Great fit
These replacement locks worked perfectly. The fit was great. I was worried about the nut on the inside from reviews I read , but for the gun safe I was putting the on(Hogan)was perfectly ok. This are metal gun safes and if your worried about the nut being small , you need to invest in a new safe . YES these did work and will keep kids and honest people out.

Great Quality Gun Cabinet Replacement Lock
I was given a Sentinel gun locker from my mom after my dad had passed. Unfortunately, no key was found, and I had to replace the lock mechanism. So, I drilled out the lock and reached inside to pull the one sliding bar where it was still catching on one end of the frame. I then removed the old lock mechanism from the inside latch. I did have to drill out the square slot a tad on the locking latch so that the slightly larger threaded end of the new lock would fit. I also had to slightly bend the one sliding bar for smooth movement. Then I tightened the nut to new lock, and it works perfectly. The quality of this new lock is better and looks better too.

Edit - Rough Operating Lock
Edit, After removing the lock from the cabinet it freed up, but wouldn't release the key while installed. WIth this type key, the key is inserted and then must be pushed in to operate the lock. This inserts the slots on the outside of the barrel of the lock which is how it is keyed. Pushing in and out is rough. There must have been some sort of bind when the lock was tightened in place on the cabinet door. The operation of this product is rough, sort of gritty. The parts need to be better finished. So far the replacement is working but is not smooth in operation.
