so, i picked this up on prime day sale for an excellent price, and on first opening the box i was VERY impressed, the box is nice and picking up the knife it has a nice weight in your hand, it feels like a more expensive knife in your hand, as i am a man i immediately decided to see how sharp it is... shaving sharp is not an exaggeration, there is a bare spot on my arm where i tested it, i am very impressed initially, i look forward to seeing how it holds its edge.edit: so in closer inspection after using it there is an issue, though its more the fault of the delivery than anything, the box that had my knife in it got knocked around and the tip is bent from hitting something through the package, i noticed a spot on the box at first but i didnt notice the tip damage until later, unhappy with that.edit 2 have since received a replacement after returning the damaged one and found the original one had been missing a tip guard that the second one had in the box, replacement is undamaged

For some reason this holiday season my father decided to buy some knives. It's not like our knives were old or worn. He just wanted to add new knives to our large collection of kitchen knives. We purchase one of these along with four other knives at varying prices.Out of all the knives my father bought this knife was her favorite.- it's beautiful, clean, sharp, nice grip- knife design is great for slicing, dicing, and most cutting needs- length of the blade is just right- Most importantly it's light weight, she's getting old and prefer to handle light itemsMy mom praised this knife so much that my father has bought 4 more to gift our family and friends.Though it was my mom's favorite, it wasn't for me.I wish it was heavier because the lightness made it seem cheap. It was thinner than other knives we own with similar design. We'd usually use this type of knife to cut all kinds of veggies to chicken bones. I don't know if this knife is ok to use on chicken bones -- haven't tried. But, if my mom like's it, I'm fine with it.

I've taken a few days to beat this thing up. To start it's comfortable enough. The handle isn't the best in the world but certainly not the worst. It feels a bit small, it's very slippery. it's weight is right, balance is good. As for the edge, thing came sharp, it stayed sharp for the vegetables, did ok quartering a chicken. then just for shits and giggles i started slamming into the chopping block, and on a steel skillet, and some other stuff. At that point it was no longer sharp. resharpening wasn't especially hard. No other damage as far I can tell, oh and no rust. the Damascus is fake, honestly probably gonna work to remove it. It's a good knife, I'd buy it again.

Pros: easily sharpened, nice aesthetic.Cons: cheap handle and pattern on the knife is clearly etched

This has to be one of the better purchases I've made here on Amazon! This knife is excellent, it does the job, and for me that is getting VERY nice close cuts on tomatoes and other foods. It was very inexpensive, came quickly and the quality and craftmanship are great. Well worth the purchase.

The knife arrived quickly and was packaged in a nice box. We used it that evening to cut vegetables for a stir fry and it was very sharp and worked great. This is an excellent knife at a great pice. I would highly recommend.

I used it to slice a tomato, it didn’t slice like butter. I tried to lighty rub the sharp edge and it didn’t want to cut through the tomato skin. My other knife that I bought for $30 is better quality and this one claims to be the same type of steel. Pretty sharp but it should be sharper
