This IonPacific ionbox was delivered quickly. It came in a small box. Inside the box were 2 white draw string bags, a small cleaning brush and directions. Inside the first white bag was the wall plug and USB charger for this portable device. The ionbox was inside the other re-usable white drawstring bag. It was roughly the size of a large hockey puck. I plugged it in with cord into a standard wall plug. I pressed the top button labeled on/off and it immediately turned on. A little blue light on the front indicated it was in fact on. It runs so quietly I might not have known it was on, so the blue light is helpful. It sounds like a very quiet fan that is barely noticeable unless you are right next to it. I like the instant set up with no frustration. I like the included travel white drawstring bags so I can use it in hotel rooms when traveling. I have an air purifier but wanted something to help with allergies and dust. This is exactly what I thought it would be and it is a bonus that its portable and small enough to fit in luggage easily. I like the dust reduction in the air and air quality improvement. It also helps with removing any stronger smells. This is a handy item that helps improve overall breathing and air quality. I have been vacuuming the floor extra since buying to catch any dust and particles it ionizes to drop out of the air. The quality seems remarkable for something so small. It appears well made and designed. The white, neutral color makes it barely noticeable and blends in nicely. A great value and worth it.

I love this machine, and it works well, until it just suddenly doesn't work anymore one day. They last about 2 to 3 years before they die, and this is true even though I cleaned it monthly as instructed. You just can't seem to buy anything that lasts anymore, no matter how much you pay. But, of the air cleaners out there, this one takes up very little space, is generally pretty quiet, and works well. I wish it lasted longer considering the price, which is why I took one star away.

This unit might be small and light but it’s mighty. For rooms up to 500 sq ft, it clears the air of stinky pollutants. Runs quietly and has a soothing hum. The cord isn’t long and must be plugged in. Not rechargeable. Comes with a nice carry pouch for on the go moments or moving from room to room. Just plug it in anywhere. Even the car…if you have a car power inverter. Love mine! Volume up to hear it.

What a disappointment! USB power supply failed 4 months in. Customer service consisted of a circular reference that never solved my problem. No way to contact the seller to request warranty replacement. I spent more for better quality. Not pleased.

Ok, the good - this does feel as though it freshens the air if you are directly in it's path with your face. Is it just the air from the fan or is it negions, given the fan is not so big I would give negions a chance so does a worthwhile but not brilliant job if you sit in line with the fan. The other plus is assuming the description is accurate, this unit does not produce any significant ozone which isn't healthy but is produced by many units On the flip side, the fan is annoyingly noisy, a bit like a laptop fan working medium hard. It does not do the whole small office room or indeed anything other than what is described above. I don't care how many negions it measures, all that matters is what effect it has. It doesn't dump any dust near the unit which these units usually do but that could be a plus from the fan. This is no different to other generators I have tried recently and in contrast to an Israeli one I used years ago tha really freshened the whole room. Also none of these units speak about replacing the emitting needle/s which I believe they all have and which usually needs cleaning/ replacement after a while. I would kill for my old unit again but doubt the company even exists. It didn't have or need a fan either. I still would like an equally effective unit if I could find one. I won't send this back because it works ok for my office use as described but i would never imagine using it to sleep by with that fan noise

It's about the size of a fat wallet, so it’s definitely not meant for ionizing an entire house, but it’s perfect for small enclosed spaces like my home office. It works great. The build quality feels much better than some reviews suggest—it just seems like any regular electronic device. As for the noise, I’m not sure what others are talking about; all I hear is a very faint, almost inaudible hum when it’s running. I’m completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable ionizer for small areas.

This little box has worked wonders for my bedroom. With shag carpet and two dogs it gets smelly but this has helped with odor and dog dander.

While I have read a lot of complaints about the sound, this is pretty quiet compared to the older big "air cleaners" that required filters and make a huge racket. This thing does have a fan, but it's not so noisy I can't fall asleep or anything. In fact, I don't notice it at all. The good points are the healthy way it cleans the air, the relatively low cost, the fact that it's super small and doesn't require changing bulbs, filters, and it's not spewing ozone into my home. I read a ton of reviews and I'm as pleased as I had hoped to be.

Yes this product does make a different in cleaning up the air.

I’m honestly a bit disappointed. I bought this to see if it would help us with our sleep and maybe it is cleaning the air but it is not a noticeable difference. Our sleep stayed the same, the bedroom feels the same, doesn’t feel like the air is cleaner. For such an expensive device I would think there’d be a more noticeable difference. At least something we could pick up on. Also, it lets out a really high pitched screech from time to time which prevents me from sleeping if I notice it. Unfortunately, not worth the price.

I was highly disappointed in this product. An eighth of the size of what I was expecting

I've been using it constantly 24 hours a day for about one week now but I haven't noticed much if any of the supposed benefits of negative ions. The unit is very small I'm just wondering if it doesn't produce enough ions to create the benefits noted by some sources.

After a day of use the fan sounds like it's breaking. Already really loud. Will probably return soon if it keeps making alot of noise. Saw some larger units that also do ozone on here that look more heavy duty. This one seems kinda cheap like it's meant to be semi portable or something.
