The Artistic Wire, 18 Gauge Silver Plated worked well for my jewelry projects. It was flexible and easy to work with and the size seemed accurate. It comes on a small spool that makes it easy to get the right amount off without having it tangled up. I was happy with the color, it was nice and shiny, although make sure you have your bend right because it seems to loose its shine if you have to bend it over. I have noticed that you need to be really careful because with hardly any effort you can scratch it. Is it any better than any other wire I have worked with? Not really, I have other wire that I like to work with better that cost less, doesn't scratch as easy and I can bend over without loosing its luster. Though it works, I won't be purchasing this brand again.

Just as described. It's just the right guage and easy to work with. I used it to fix a link in my grandaughter's necklace. Good price and worked perfectly, I'm sure I'll find lot's of uses for it.

I normally use pure copper or silver plated copper Artistic Wire to wire wrap stones. I thought I'd give this black Arrtistic Wire a try and was very disappointed with its performance. # 1 - it was not a copper based Wire. I do not know what it was made of but it and was not pliable. I could not get it to wrap around the stones nicely # 2 - The black chipped off the Wire very easily. I will not be buying this again and will be discarding the one I have.
