Logitech 980-001260 Z337 Bold Sound Bluetooth Wireless 2.1 Speaker System for Computers, Smartphones and Tablets

I have used logitech 2.1 speaker sets for years now. My oldest is the Z-2300 which has served as my computer speakers for over a decade. A few years ago I purchased Cyber acoustics 2.1 (CA-3602 FFP) for my girlfriend and that has been going steady as well. The most recent 2.1 for the living room was this model (Z-337). Compared to the Z-2300 the audio quality is better. Bass I keep moderate and it seems to be punchy enough. My favorite thing is the bluetooth, which is ultra easy (press the BT button on the volume dongle and simply connect your device). This is my first BT enabled speaker so having it in the living room makes it super easy when friends are over to connect a device, rather than tying down a phone to inches from the speakers to keep the music going. The speakers are standard sized and placement / overall look isn't obtrusive. The subwoofer does seem small, but as a plus that means it can fit in numerous areas, and it too isn't 'in your face' so you can easily hide it as well. Comparatively, the Z-2300 which again is quite old and has worse aesthetics. In the same light the Cyber Acoustics are more classic "stand up" old school desktop set up 2.1 speakers. The Logitech Z-337 might be a better fit in either case given it's nice form-factor. I prefer the more square-ish speakers with webbing to the tall stand up ones. For a sub-100 dollar purchase it has enough power and sound quality as well as design aesthetic to meet my needs. If my current Z-2300 ever die I'd probably go ahead and get this unit again, although you might find a slightly cheaper unit more your speed if you don't need BT connection. That being said pay attention to speaker watts and find if sinking an extra $20 might get you slightly more oomph.

This review is for the Logitech Z337 Bold with Bluetooth. I was looking for Bluetooth connected speakers because I was getting feed back thru my speaker outlet port on my computer. No big deal, since my Chromebox has Bluetooth capability. First initial thoughts were the speakers were a bit lager than expected, almost 8 inches tall and a bit wider than 4 inches. Bass box is about 9x6 and 9 inches deep. I initially purchased these due the fact they were Bluetooth and the remote speaker volume control pod. Installation was a snap, absolutely no issues pairing the Bluetooth. I have been using these speakers for a week now and I am thoroughly impressed. First of these speakers rock! Sound quality is exceptional, especially for this price range. Bass response is solid and not too muddy.(you also have the ability to adjust bass response if you prefer more or less bass) Having volume control at your finger tips is a wonderful add on for these speakers, I doubt I could own speakers without it now. Cord length was more than adequate for a tradition desktop set up placing speakers to the right and left of the monitor and bass box at your feet. If you looking for a basic 2.0 with bass speaker set up for you home office you really can't go wrong with these speakers.

The Z337 speakers are the first speakers I've ever owned for my personal computer, and they work wonders. I have been having some issues with connecting them with my monitor, however that's probably just because my monitor is cheap. The main selling point (for me, anyways) was that they were Bluetooth. I could have a shelf on top of my monitor where I could put the left and right speakers, and put the sub woofer somewhere on my shelf right next to me. It would be clean with absolutely no cables, right? However, first off all we just moved and my parents aren't about to shell out another 50 or so bucks for a nice looking shelf. And secondly, even if I did get a shelf, then we'd have to drill a hole in the wall to get a clean minimal cable experience. Yes. I bet you probably thought just like me that the left, right, and sub woofer speakers were all Bluetooth. Well, Logitech decided to go the Pixel Bud approach and have the left and right speakers go into the sub woofer. The sub woofer is Bluetooth, but the left and right speakers aren't. This means that you'd have to put these moderately sized speakers and this giant bass machine on an also massive shelf. Alright. You finally set up your sick sound system. After setting up Bluetooth and cranking up the music on your actually really well made control knob, you pull up your bass boosted trash on YouTube and hit play. The first seconds are bliss. Hearing (more like feeling) the bass fills your heart with joy. But then... ... The music stops. Then it turns on again. A short quarter second blip. You shrug it off, because maybe it'd only happen occasionally and you got bad luck. But then it happens again. Another blip. Once more. You realize the truth of this situation. You didn't get unlucky. You got an expensive, oversized shelf, numerous holes in your walls, for what? Bad audio that blips every 5 or so seconds? Yes. Whether I have a bad Bluetooth dongle or the speakers are faulty, all I know is that I'm not gonna deal with blippy audio. Once you plug the computer into the sub woofer with the included 3.5mm cable, it works wonders. While I didn't end up with holes in my wall, I still was quite disappointment at the lack of quality in the Bluetooth. Now, I rreaaaally want to clarify that this could just be my cheap Bluetooth dongle, but as it stands, the Bluetooth functionality is bad. However, does this mean that the speakers themselves are in any way bad? No, they're really good. Abrubt ending because I can't end things aaaaaa-

I love these speakers! I have a lot of different systems that I wanted to play from these speakers - mainly to send wire-free music from my laptop - i.e. the bluetooth. But secondarily I have a work laptop that I bring home a few times a month that I also want the sound to send by bluetooth, and thirdly, I have "Plex" server - which enables me to play all my music from my computer as a server, and 'cast' to all my wifi speakers throughout my whole home - so I have made the Logitech speakers 'wifi' by plugging a Chromecast into the Aux port -- I am extremely pleased to report that these Logitech speakers switch SEAMLESSLY between all these sources, without delay, without having to go to any of my devices to change playback source, and the real biggie - switches between bluetooth and wifi sources and back without a problem or any action on my part other than to start playing. I have had other bluetooth speakers that require me to unplug the aux port (i.e. the Chromecast wifi adapter) in order to hear the bluetooth source, and that becomes a royal pain, moving things around to get to the cords and plugs every time, and on another speaker which had both bluetooth and wifi built in, the speaker had to be disconnected and reconnected to switch between sources, or at the very least, the bluetooth button has to be pushed every time to get my device to reconnect, ugh! Again, PITA. These Logitechs just handle it, which is what I was looking for. Just as important to the ease of use and automatic playback from any and all sources, is that the sound is GREAT. For the price-point, these sound amazing, have a nice balanced sound from clear highs, proper mid-range (not flat), and some solid base. I'm no official audiophile, but what I have come to believe based on wasting a lot of money experimenting with MANY MANY speakers of all shapes and sizes as well as different levels of prestige, is that a good solid sound needs 'real' base. I don't need to shake the house down, but you can't just simulate base with a small woofer, you need a physically large woofer if you're going to hear and feel the full range, even at a soft volume. And tiny speakers that do their absolute best to reproduce big sound (I'm talking about various Bose bookshelf and bluetooth speakers) do accomplish small miracles, but they still don't compare to the feel of woofers at least the size of these Logitech speakers I got. The other thing I came to realize is you can get a LOT more sound for your money if you simply go bigger but bypass the extra frills. I paid much more for Bose Bookshelf speakers but since they are half the size, they really don't have the bigger sound (bigger even when volume is low) that these do. So I moved the Bose to my ignominious little bathroom. These Logitechs sit on the shelf beside my computer and play general computer related sounds and music via bluetooth, but when I want to switch to playing music throughout my home thru Plex via Wifi, they kick in and hold their own with the rest of my nice (even bigger) speaker systems in the rest of my apartment.

For $60 and a small intimate room, this thing is fantastic. Sound quality I'm very happy with (crisp satellites and a decent bass - turn that knob up!) Has both Bluetooth (super responsive) and also can be be connected simultaneously to a second audio source at the same time (i.e. 3.5mm into a TV), the convenience is awesome and wow have I been using it all day. Awesome. Now the thing that drove me nuts was a constant "buzzing" of the cabinet, especially one versus the other, which made me think something is just not super solid in the chamber. So I took off the plastic grills (easy just find the groove on one of the sides can pick off with your nails), and then tighten the four screws around the speaker. Should do the trick. Putting the grills back on most likely will cause that buzzing to come back when playing high volumes (I realized this because I held the grills really firm against the rest of the cabinet and it seemed to stop it), so....you may get lucky or more unlucky than me and have to put them without the grill (it's not a bad look! Kind of cool haha) Really happy with these speakers, the convenience, very good sound and multiple ways to enjoy hassle-free. If you like louder volumes, like really loud, not going to be what you need in a larger room, but for an intimate room for good TV speakers at the foot of your bed or a small space, these should deliver. This is the second time I have purchased these speakers. Have used them for years as the sound system for my desktop computer workstation. Decided I needed another set for the master bedroom. Great flexibility for input via 3.5mm jack or bluetooth. Volume control knob is large and easy to adjust with a small led light that indicates power is on. Pros: EXCELLENT sound and stereo imaging Deep and powerful bass (obvious with the subwoofer) Input Flexibility Satellite speakers are compact enough to fit on bookshelves, etc. Cons: Highs are a bit soft - explained below Highs are a bit soft, but mostly noticeable to folks that need a lot of sizzle at the high end. I like the highs for digital music (some of which are not encoded optimally and sound harsh and metallic at the high end) and these speakers make the mp3s much more musical sounding. In short, these speakers sound way too good for the price and are highly recommended.

Some of you might already be familiar with the Logitech Z623 computer speaker system. That system came out several years ago and was by far and away the best set of computer speakers anywhere. Particularly impressive was the subwoofer and THX certified L-R speakers. I own two sets of the Z623 and have been quite happy with everything but the price which is typically $100-200. Now Logitech comes out with the Z337 and I was astounded that the sound was even better than the Z623. The booming subwoofers of both sets can both blow you away and I would rate them a tie. However the L-R speakers are stronger overall on the Z337 giving you better treble than the Z623 no matter how you adjust the settings. It's also a more dynamic and rich sound in comparison to the Z623. And the Z337 is less than $100 making it a bargain in comparison to the Z623. After doing a side-by-side comparison of the two playing the exact same songs, the Z337 is the winner. I now use it as my primary computer speakers and use the Z623 for my secondary system.

Great little speakers with awesome sound! I like the fact that there's an adjustable bass knob on the back as the bass can be overpowering. Mids are decent once you get the bass right for the environment. The volume knob is a nice touch. I understand this is a desktop speaker type system but I wouldn't have minded if the controls were on the sub-woofer box itself. Speaking of the sub - it's much more compact than the pictures lead on which I was pleasantly surprised with. I use this system as a garage stereo system for when I'm working on my motorcycle. Simple to set up, and the range is good. Added aux-in is cool too in case I don't want to waste my battery streaming bluetooth.

Great sound for a smallish 2.1 speaker set up with hassle-free BT connectivity. Bass is adequately powerful, doesn't take up much desk space. Very good value for money.

great speakers for the price. nice and booming and I cant raise the volume more then 70% as its too loud for my room. bass has its own control and is great but the louder speaker volumes does down it out. I don't think its great if your trying to use these as party speakers but for just a small gathering this has plenty of volume.. Bluetooth was very easy to hook up.

En ciertas ocasiones puede llegar a parecer que le falta cierta claridad en agudos especialmente pasando de los 17 mil hertz, donde comienza a parecer un equipo barato, aunque para ser justos, ya es cuando se rebasa el 80% de volumen y se está llegando al máximo, con el máximo de bajos. En general, por el precio, las conexiones Bluetooth, RCA, auxiliar 3.5mm, control periférico de volumen con salida a auriculares 3.5mm que cuando se insertan los audifonos se transfiere el audio a solo los audífonos. Es en general un producto de excelente calidad, precio, potencia y audio. Una gran oferta por un excelente precio.

Guys whoever is speaking any bad bt this product is I guess absolutely wrong. I bought this frm Amazon for 3 k and I'm very happy to have these. These speakers have a descent sound with good bass and the entire system feels rich in the making of it. Amazon were good in delivering it fast as usual. But guys believe me these are the best speakers with a good balance in treble and bass . Go for it without any hesitation. I am a music Geek and after a lot of r& d I found these were something worth it.

Got it for 2999 under lightning deal, Awesome speaker at this price, Bass is good, Sound is crisp and clear, connectivity is simple and easy. Major plus is Bluetooth, very convenient to use it with laptop and mobile simultaneously. I'm using them as my primary speaker, and as of now I'm loving it. Can't expect more in this price. Do buy it if u can grab a good lightning deal on it, otherwise also I would recommend it to my friends. Tip: Proper placement of sub-woofer and speaker can improve the overall listening experience.
