Id using a usb wireless headset can i still set up the mic part okay

Hello, you may use a wireless headset to monitor your sound. However, since wireless always introduces latency, you will hear later than you spead due to the delay. Does this mic require an shock mount?

Hello, thank you for your question. Traditionally, the MV7 is mounted to a boom arm so that the mic can be positioned in front of a person sitting in a radio or podcast studio. Basically, a shock mount would only be needed, when there is the danger of rumbling noises, vibrations and such. Do i need to buy any other cables to connect this mic to a macbook for podcasting? eg. it comes with a usb cable is that enough?

Hellp, please be careful which model to choose. MV7X needs an interface or a mixer and a XLR to XLR cable. If you want to connect your microphone directly to a MacBook, you are better off with the MV7 that has the USB option in addition to the XLR. Regards, Sascha from Shure

Would this cancel out background talking? Me and my partner share a gaming room and looking for a mic that wont pick each other up in the mics

Hi Sophie, it can minimize background noise by pointing the microphone towards your mouth and noise to be cancelled behind the microphone. Since MV7X uses a cardioid polar pattern, it will eliminate noise that is in front of you. So essentially it is a matter of positioning and room reflection. We suggest also treating the room with acoustic panels, if background noise is still bleeding into the microphone when gain setting is as low as possible but as high as necessary.
