Cameras work great

I’ve had a frustrating experience with Lorex’s Pan-Tilt 2K WiFi camera. The camera frequently stops recording its 24-hour footage indefinitely until I manually reboot it. This issue has worsened over time, now happening every few days, which means I have to check the camera each morning and reboot it if it’s stopped recording. On my first call to support, one representative claimed the SD card was full, not realizing that the camera’s looping feature manages storage automatically. On the second call, they want me to do internet connection test. However, on the third call, the support representative insisted that any internet disconnect would cause the camera to stop recording indefinitely until rebooted. This was confusing because the camera stores footage locally on the SD card and shouldn’t depend on internet stability for local recording. Additionally, I was disappointed by the overall quality of the technical support. It felt like the support staff lacked basic knowledge about how the camera works, which was surprising and frustrating.

I replaced a different brand with the Lorex brand and as far as daytime picture quality, these are amazing! The cameras have a really great field of view (very wide as compared to the previous brand), however, these cameras only have a couple of IR lights so the nighttime vision suffers (again, compared to the previous brand). The night vision is acceptable, but just not as bright as I would prefer. That being said, I am happy with this system and the cameras.

Using a computer on a closed network, the government is trying to ban and will not buy a lot of Chinese cameras because of security issues. (just google cameras the government is trying to ban). Lorex is made by Dahua. I'm using Linux and a program called motion. The cameras kept dropping frames until I set the frame rate on the computer higher than the camera. Now they work very well, no dropped frames and a higher frame rate than the camera says it will produce. The best night videos I've ever seen.

The camera works just fine but is really expensive, when you consider the price of a whole new system. I wish the IR illumination could be turned off when the camera is used for a well-lit area. The IR beams attract insects.

Received two new cameras. One was faulty, contacted Lorex and very good service on receiving a replacement under warranty and then returning the faulty one postage paid. This makes 8 of these cameras I have and they work very well. 5 of them are over 5 years old.

One of my cameras quit functioning, so I needed a replacement. The original model is no longer stocked, so I needed one that is compatible. Lorex is very helpful in advising you of compatible cameras, and this one was suitable. Everything worked as it was supposed to and I am completely satisfied.

installed and tested worked fine, however during monitoring there are 4, to 6 and sometimes 10 seconds delay jumping from 10 to 12 or 20 second then stopes and we will take it down and return SOON.
