Are these recyclable?

I call the company and asked this about 6 years ago (so if it’s changed, idk) but they told me that the material is ok to be tossed in the recycle bin.

Can these disposable liners be used by themselve for soaking (without the footbath), say, doubled or tripled in case of leak?
