I purchased this scale because I needed to track the weight of an invalid family member who cannot stand on a weighing scale. After reading many reviews of weighing scales on Amazon, I decided to purchase this scale because of its high customer ratings and mentions that some purchasers used it with a hoyer lift. Here's my experience... The scale is EXCELLENT and accurate to within 1/2 pound validated by my various empirical tests using known weights. However, the scale is NOT ideal for use with a Medline MDS88200D Hoyer Lift. Having studied engineering in college and having some mechanical aptitude, I connected the scale to the Hoyer Lift using the provided rubber spacers and an additional shim to stabilize the assembly. (see photos) I then connected the 6-point cradle to the bottom of the scale using the provided U-bolt , which luckily happened to be the correct dimension to accept the hoyer's cradle pin. When attached this way, the scale added about 8-9 inches between the Hoyer boom arm and the top of the cradle. Problem #1: In order to accept a patient in a sling, the boom arm needed to be raised almost to the top of its lifting range. Problem #2: Another problem I encountered with the scale is that it did not swing freely when the boom arm was raised past a certain point. What happened is that the scale's orange case hit the side of the boom arm pivot and deflected to a non-perpendicular angle. The cradle remained perpendicular, however, the newly assumed angle put unnecessary stress on the scale's case and caused the scale to give inaccurate readings. Bottom Line: Would I buy this scale to use with a Medline MDS88200D Hoyer Lift - NO Would I buy this scale to weigh something else that's heavy? - absolutely YES but only if the hanging points are unimpeded.

I'm very happy with this scale, it is very accurate, I use this scale weighing livestock feed, so accuracy is very important. I have had this scale for a week or so and have used it at least 20 times now, it has worked flawlessly every time, it is very easy to use, once you first set the units to pounds the memory keeps it there so every time you turn it on it is ready to go. If you are in need of a good hanging scale, that will take the abuse of being left out in a barn in the cold and work to your highest expectations every time, this is the one!

Used for deer hunting

Appears to be a high quality product and well built. The repeatability of weights were consistently within one or two tenths of a pound and were accurate with a known weight of 275 pounds. Another very handy tool that I really did not need but I can always use it to check my luggage weight with. I will give it a 5 star if it keeps up its accuracy over time..

After using mechanical scales for 20 years and having numerous fail during use, I finally switched to this electronic version and was pleasantly surprised. Have only used it once but was very happy with the ease of use. The cost was reasonable -- was pleased with the quality and thought put into the product. It's supposed to have a lifetime warranty, so hope to have it for many years to come.

I love this little hanging scale. It is super easy to use and the batteries last a long time. It automatically turns itself off too after a little bit. I weigh items that are around 15 to 50 lb and it is fairly accurate to .1 or .2 lbs. If you are looking for something to be even more accurate maybe try something else.

Does what it says it does, very easy to use and read. Tough and robust since buying this we’ve used it a lot in our workshop, weighing large sections of timber, treehouse parts, playground components etc. I recommend buying this .
