I had very old ceramic pasta bowls that were Italian made, yet over the decades of use, they became chipped and broken, so I had been researching them with something similar. There are loads of options online and on Amazon, yet I really loved the look, color, size and depth of these bowls. They just arrived and they have already exceeded my expectations. They are very sturday, deeper than my old pasta bowls, and come in four fantastic color combinations. The exterior of the bowls are embossed with a lovely Maltese like pattern. They color and pattern variations are fun without being busy, like many of the other bowls I saw on Amazon, and the rims of the bowls are thick and solid. No ceramic dishware is impervious to chipped (or breakage), yet I feel these bowls should last me for years. I don't have a dishwasher, yet they are supposedly dishwasher and microwave safe. I can't wait to begin using them on a daily basis. If you purchase through this seller, they were super fast in processing my order and they were delivered earlier than I had expected using USPS.

I absolutely love these bowls. They make any meal you serve in them look professionally plated. They're sturdy, they handle the dishwasher well, and they have been my go to plates from day one. I plan to purchase them again that's how much I love them. I actually did purchase more bowls, but from a different manufacturer. They did not measure up to these bowls, not even close and I ended up returning those. Highly recommend! I came back to update my review and apparently I never posted the original review... so one year later, still love these bowls, and they really are sturdy. They've been dropped on the floor a few times and no chips, they didn't get broken, still in pristine shape!! I'd say great value for the money! I don't think you'll be sorry buying these bowls. I don't even bother with my dinner plates now. These are plenty big enough.

These plates are awesome. The color combinations and the size is perfect. I am using it daily not only for rice but I can even eat roti in it. The plates look so cute

Just got these bowls. Not light, just a little heavy i don’t think it is a problem. Packaging was secure, no damage. I usually prefer straight white dish ware, i don’t like patterns that much because at some point i get bored. But saw the reviews of these bowls and they look pretty so i wanted to get them. These are so easy to use for pasta, salad or rice. They look fun , high quality and aesthetic. If you are looking for some pasta/salad bowls not too small not too big, i definitely recommend these.. This is my 3rd purchase from Dowan and im so pleased so far.

Love these bowls. Prefer bowls to plates for most meals. Can wash in the dish washer for easy clean up. The all the color and pattern.

Love the bowls we use these all the time. Big/deep enough for all our pasta dishes and all of our other yummy dishes.

really nice bowls, excellent for the price. look very vibrant and feel great, have an almost hand-made look to them look very high quality at the same time. handy in size and very versatile too; they're large enough to eat salads, pasta, curries, stews, i can even imagine eating ramen in these. we're even thinking of ordering another set in case we have more people to feed. the only thing that threw me off is that the blue color in the pictures is actually black with a slight hint of dark blue - it's much much darker than in the product presentation photos. or it might have just been the specific bowl i got. it's very pretty still, just not the pretty dark blue i had hoped for.
