Life Through A Window

I initially listened to some of this album for the first time during some point roughly a year ago when listening to this having loved Structures' first LP, Divided By, and to admit, was impetuously refused to listen any further than the first track. I interpreted the entire music piece as a diluted, primarily hardcore outcome of the authors thus far. Obviously, there is a hardcore influence throughout this album, which is fine for whoever prefers it and more importantly, Structures their selves. I at the time and to this day still reject any primarily hardcore music. I was wrong to assume this talented group of musicians lost touch with their roots and musical integrity. This album signifies a slight change in style as you would typically hear from any fan, but by maturing evolution. There are plenty of similarities between this album and other past releases such as Divided By or All Of The Above, with that appropriate amount of hardcore/punk style, and it's refreshing. Structures seemed to maintain a steady path to composing something for everyone in it's broader community, but unfortunately, put a halt to this project. That's the only thing unfortunate about this band, is that they are no more. After hearing this album, I'd kill for another.

Great band, great album, very very disappointing mastering job. Almost obnoxiously loud and over compressed. That is only possible by cutting out all of the low end and that makes it hard to listen to. I've been working on remastering it myself and it's an awesome album when it actually has some low end in it.

For some reason it took me 2 years to find out about this album, but as soon as I put it on my workout playlist, I was sold. Structures has been one of my go-to bands for gym motivation for years now, and this album might be the best one yet. Researchers at Brunel University found that listening to high intensity, fast tempo music enhances motor control and central nervous system recruitment, and you couldn't ask for a more intense, upbeat album than this. Despite the line-up changes, Structures solidified their place as one of the best metalcore bands out there, in a genre that continues to put out solid inspiring music, while the rest of the musical genres flounder and repeat the same tired old formulas. I was saddened to hear of their indefinite hiatus, but continue to hold out hope that they will re-group in the near future.... *hint*hint*

Don't understand the hate on this album, at first I was a little weary once they released the singles on YouTube but after blasting the full album I can honestly say I love it!They've lost the pop-punky vocals and just transitioned into a purely screaming style. It does work, it sounds great. The only real complaint is that some of the vocals do sound a little similar in the songs, sort of emotionless style in some parts.I do miss the pop-punk elements of divided by, but the band has got their visions and I really respect where they've gone with this album. Definitely worth a blast.PIty they've broken up now.

前作は叙情感:ブルータル=4:6のアルバムでした。今作は叙情感が正に0になり、恐怖のブルータルバンドになっています。頭を振りたい人用のアルバムです。なのにここまで聴かせることができるこのバンドは見事の一言です。「この手の音」で括られない魅力がこのバンドにはあります。だけど、疾走クリーンパートがなくなってしまったのはやっぱり残念。だから星4つです。
