I had wished to convert this 1930's Lillian Russell poster bed from full to queen for several years. After researching different methods I chose the Bolt on to Hook on Bed Frame Conversion Brackets. I also purchased the sturdiest metal bolt on queen bed frame I could find. Be sure bed frame has adjustable width (see 1st pic). Notice bed frame is bolted all the way to the right. It is important to check the height of the bed frame, adding the height of the foundation and mattress. Make sure this hits on desired place on bed frame. I chose a low profile foundation and moderately thick mattress (see 2nd photo). I assembled the bed frame and bolt on hook conversion with a "finger tight" until I was sure the mattress would fit. Then I tightened all bolts and used longer screws to attach the conversion brackets to the headboard and footboard. The provided screens are quite short and don't tighten well. I am satisfied with the result. It is important to realize that for an antique bed any conversion frame system will not be as rock solid as the original wooden rails. My footboard does not rock at all but the heavier headboard does rock a little.

Great product, with fast shipping. The brackets arrived with extra screws to use for anchoring to both the headboard and the metal bed frame. Very easy to install and it has kept the headboard stable. Great to be able to use an antique full sized headboard on a queen sized bed.

The parts I received were clearly opened before and not brand new. One of them was visibly bent. In addition, both parts are facing the same direction, which makes it impossible to install them on both sides of the bed. Very disappointed.

These worked very well for connecting my sons bed frame to his old crib as a headboard. They came with the pieces necessary to put together and only took a few minutes to figure out. Our box did not contain directions but it was pretty simple to do.
