Poppi Sparkling Prebiotic Soda Beverage with Apple Cider Vinegar, Seltzer Water and Fruit Juice, The Classics Variety Pack, 12 Fl Oz, Pack of 12, Packaging May Vary

This is a review for just the Classic Cola. I am a male so my preference is towards junk than health. But I decided to make a change to lower my sugar intake. At first sip, It tasted not like coca-cola but did taste more like Pepsi. I was surprised how similar tasting to Pepsi it was. I liked the taste. It was as if Pepsi was actually healthy so you could of course notice there was less sugar (but in a good way). I think it is a good trade off and I can see this being my new alternative. A new king in my fridge to replace the unhealthy version. I think if you know going in that it won’t exactly taste like what you are accustomed to then this will be good for you. But I was surprised how nice it actually tasted. I recommend it to men and women who want a little bit of soda but don’t want the belly. I have already noticed improvements to my health and gut from less sugar in my diet.*********update 2 Doc Pop flavor. I found this flavor extremely unique and satisfying. The stevia did not overpower it. It did have similarities to the Doctor Pepper however it was a lighter version and flavor. Which I did not mind because Doctor Pepper was always very heavy and sugary that if you weren’t hooked on it you probably didn’t crave it. I think if you take it for what it is as it’s own unique flavor that is lighter and less tastey than doctor pepper then you might enjoy it like I did. Who needs all that sugar anyways? I would rate Doc Pop A+, Cola A+, but the root beer is a F. I think root beer is one of those flavors that doesn’t work with stevia. They did try but I would have appreciated it more without stevia and maybe a tad more sugar if it’s absolutely necessary. Root beer might be more of a splurge day then your daily pop choice if they can get the flavoring right.

Yummiest flavors and it's good for me

This variety 12 pack of Poppi was placed in our beverage refrigerator right after we received it. We have a several different options of beverages so these were not consumed immediately. The first few sodas were ok, but as the weeks went by we started to notice that they were becoming flat and had an odd taste. The expiration date is not for another 7 months. They are just out of the return window by a couple of weeks, so this is very disappointing. Everything else in the fridge is perfectly fine. We will not be buying these again. Such a waste of money.

I can’t drink soda because it really hurts my stomach. BUT poppi has seriously freaking nailed it with these!!!! You don’t really taste the apple cider vinegar in them which is a plus. The Root beer one is my ALL time favorite right now. It does have a ginger taste to it but it is not at all overpowering. Dr pop was the reason I tried Poppi because Dr Pepper was my favorite soda. They absolutely nailed that flavor. If you ask me Dr pop taste better the Dr Pepper. I feel like I can actually enjoy a “soda” and not have all the crappy side effects that it does to me thanks to Poppi.

I bought the Classic flavors mix which in itself is a disappointment that you can't buy one flavor. I was looking for something to eliminate Pepsi from my lists of drinks after being diagnosed as diabetic. Cola, not sure what this is but it doesn't taste like any cola drink I've ever had. Another reviewer said it taste somewhat like Pepsi, yeah, no, it doesn't. It did satisfy my craving for a soda though so that's a plus, but it has a very strong diet soda aftertaste that I personally don't like. Overall I wouldn't buy this flavor again. Root Beer, not bad overall resembles root beer, reminds me of Barg's but doesn't quite get to real root beer. Again it satisfies my craving for a soda but it comes with the diet after taste though not as strong as the cola. I would probably buy this flavor again but it wouldn't be my first choice. DocPop, this is probably about as close as you're going to get to the real thing. This also satisfies the soda craving. This is the best of the bunch as far as I'm concerned in duplicating the original flavor. One note, this has a diet aftertaste that even the diet version of DR Pepper doesn't have though it's not as noticeable as the other two. In conclusion, two out of the three flavors were pretty good but none of them are something to write home about. None of them are as carbonated as the originals. I don't see any real value at almost $3 a can, if they got the price point down to maybe $1 a can this would be an actual substitute for soda drinkers. Overall I probably won't buy these flavors again since they seem to only be offered as a variety pack and I don't care for a third of the offering (cola). On a positive note I will probably try some of the other flavors. I gave this three stars but really would say it's more three and a half.
