And this can be applied to all struggling readers. Review: Excellent supplement for homeschool - I purchased Orton Gillingham Tools for Kids With Dyslexia โ 100 Activities as a supplement to my sonโs homeschool curriculum, and it has been a very helpful resource for us. I wanted something that would give him additional practice with reading and language skills while allowing us to work at his own pace, and this has fit into our homeschool routine really well. I especially appreciate the variety of activities. Having 100 different activities gives us plenty of options for extra practice without feeling like we are doing the exact same thing every day. The activities help us reinforce concepts he is already learning in his regular curriculum, and I can choose what we need to focus on depending on where he needs additional practice. As a homeschool mom, I love having resources that are easy to pull out and incorporate into our school day without adding a lot of extra preparation for me. We can use a little at a time, revisit skills as needed, and move at a pace that works for him. For a child with dyslexia, that flexibility has been especially valuable. I wouldnโt necessarily use this as our entire reading curriculum, but as a supplemental resource, it has been exactly what I was looking for. It gives us another way to practice and reinforce important skills while adding some variety to our lessons. Overall, Iโm very pleased with this purchase and feel like it was a worthwhile addition to our homeschool materials. If you homeschool a child with dyslexia or simply want additional Orton-Gillingham-based activities to complement your existing curriculum, this is definitely worth having on hand. Five stars from us! Review: Helpful for dyslexia in building confidence - Builds confidence. Purchased for a dyslexic child as a supplement for handwriting curriculum. They enjoyed working through it. Even when it got left in the rain and soaked, we dried it out and the pages held up well. Looks a little worse for wear, but it was worth it. Definately saw improvement from beginning to end.

Great practice with letters
I like the variety of activities to practice b, d, p, and q. My greatest challenge is that q is taught with a rhyme ("push around, down, flag"), but the flag part of q is often missing. I think that's the nature of the font type used in the text, and oftentimes q is typed without a flag. However, for kids who struggle with reversals, printing the flag on q can make a huge difference.

Exercise for Dyslexic Brains
Reading is confusing enough for a child, add dyslexia and struggles distinguishing different letters. This workbook has been useful and appreciated. My dyslexic students mix up b, d, p, q, m, n. This workbook addresses 4 of those problem letters in word and letter format. The paper is a good quality and the book is easy for kids to use. My 7 year olds can do this by themselves, yet itโs fun for us to work together too. Definitely recommend this for struggling readers.
