Surprisingly Simple & Effective Solution for Two-Brands / Two Homes
I have a Genie opener at home and needed something for a vehicle that could also operate a Chamberlain/LiftMaster MyQ system (which, candidly, can be a frustrating system to program) and it also has an RF translator / repeater box so I was expecting a real pain. This unit handled both with ease. Using Program Option 4 from the instructions, I was able to set it up quickly—no hassle at all. Range is solid. The Genie responds instantly with no lag, and the LiftMaster MyQ opens about one second after pressing the button—hardly an issue. One press, and it works every time. Overall, it’s a great solution if you have two openers or two homes and want one remote that can handle both. It’s also an excellent value compared to buying brand-specific remotes—plus, it gives you flexibility if your opener setup changes in the future.

It works for an old Genie door!
I have a 1995-ish set of Genie garage doors. We couldn't get the vehicle and opener motor to work together. After the only remote broke, we've been using the button inside the garage and walking in and out. I have no idea on the model of door, but it said something about Intellicode. It took me 2 tries because I was pressing the wrong button (the final step when you press every 2 seconds until it opens, you press the remote, not the button on the opener motor). But it was quick and easy and most importantly, it worked! I'm buying another one for the other vehicle now.

good replacement opener
Perfect replacement garage door opener. I ended buying a few more to have in all of our vehicles. It wasn't hard to program either.

Don’t waste your money
The specs on the Genie universal garage door opener says it will work with my opener. But it did not. Spent a lot of money on more than one of these to end up having to replace the whole system

Works as advertised
I gave this 4 stars because I ordered three of them and one of them was obviously not new as the activation tab was missing so someone had tried it before. However, the instructions were easy to follow and they all worked first time every time for both doors. The clip was difficult to install for me. Also, to change the battery a screw on the bottom which, depending on where you install the clip, could require removing it. And if it’s as difficult to remove as install, that could be a job. I eventually use a pair of pliers to very slightly bend the end of the tab up so it would slide over the retaining peg. And put it in a position where I won’t have to remove it to change the battery.

10/10 would recommend
It was money well spent. It was easy to set up to sync with my garage. It took me literally 5 minutes and the remote was up and running opening and closing my garage

Worked like a Champ
So I was using a taped-together-battery-hanging-out two button remote for my 1995 vintage Genie garage door opener and it finally says "enough" and dies. The Genie Universal Series that I purchased didn't look the same but it was a Genie. I also decided to get the "used" variety because these things are never "used " and returned, they are "I can't program it" and returned. On that note, some helpful shortcuts to the promised land: 1. Remove the plastic light cover and locate the "learning button" on the front left. You'll need this later, 2. Push both buttons of new remote at the same time until red light begins flashing and then release both, 3. A chart is given for each model for the number of times to press the remote button of your choice. My was "1" so I press it once until the GREEN light flashes and goes out, 4. Now get back on your ladder and press the "learning button" on the opener for 2-3 seconds and release, 5. FUN PART- push the button on your remote that you chose every 2 seconds. Mine took three tries BUT IT WORKS. The instructions are very long but you should do fine with the above. Good luck!
