Best game ever made.
GTA5 is the best game ever. There I said it. I've played all the GTA's. I finished 1&2 on the computer a LONG time ago. GTA3 was revolutionary and finished that too. I finished Vice City. Then I got bored with the genre. I didn't get close with San Andreas, and I think I got 30% into GTA4 before I got bored and sold it. Red Dead Redemption was awesome (also by Rockstar) and only barely felt like I might play GTA5. Right on the pre-order deadline I decided to give it a shot. Right from the beginning, the game was the same, but somehow different. You could do all the same things, run, steal cars, shoot everything, escape the police, but you could do so much more. Swimming, boating, skydiving, stealing airplanes? Infiltrating a military base? Pop wheelies on motorcycles? Playing golf or tennis? These were some crazy additions. The other BIG change is playing as THREE characters. Just as I started getting used to playing as Franklin, you suddenly have to do a bunch of missions as Michael. Then they force you to play as Trevor for quite a while. It really keeps the game from getting dull or stale. More cut scenes than I remember, but the acting is pretty good. Well, it was entertaining for me at least. I finished the game, in about 100 hours just because I like doing other things BESIDES advancing the game. There is so much to do that isn't in the scope of the missions or advancing the storylines that most of the fun I had with the game wasn't in missions at all. The missions are fun, for sure, but trying to steal a tank, or stealing a fighter jet is a lot of fun too. Taking a dune buggy into the mountains to see how far/how many jumps you can do without killing yourself is fun also. And, in a holdover from Red Dead Redemption, hunting and killing cougars feels like vindication after all the times in RDR that they attacked me on my horse. In GTA5, they have a little trouble getting you when you are in a car. I hate those cougars. The ONLY con I have with the game, besides the amazing amount of time I used playing it, is all the swearing. Yes, I get that it's an M for Mature game. But about 80% of the game I could let my kids play if there wasn't swearing. They love flying helicopters and planes, driving as fast as they can down city streets, swimming under the water looking for treasure among other things. But with so much swearing, from passers-by, and the characters themselves just driving around, they have to do it with the sound turned all the way down. Which is a shame. Isn't all the dialog pre-recorded? I would hope for GTA6 they have a setting to blank out the swearing, or beep it, or change the dialog altogether with the "No swearing" checkmark is checked. Maybe I'm being a bit of a prude, but it was far from enjoyable listening to Lamar and Franklin overuse the "N-word" in all of their dialog. I get that it's part of the joke. That these characters are "over the top". I get it. But being able to turn it off would be nice. BTW, I had to sell my copy just so I wouldn't play it anymore. I've never "had" to sell a game so that I wouldn't play it anymore. I finished the game and would still spend hours doing things and exploring the world. It's a HUGE world. Playing GTA5 is way more fun than watching TV. It's like its own TV show that you control. Best game ever.

One word: AMAZING!!
Belay the narrow drudgery of GTA 4. Commit it to the flames, for it holds not the slightest comparison to the megalith that is Grand Theft Auto 5. GRAPHICS: The textures and bump maps, the long distance rendering with atmospheric perspective, the clever dodging of excessive tiling, all eons beyond the previous GTA entry. And the water....WOW. It's breathtaking. Look at it! The depth, highlights and ripples appear on surfaces as vivid as though you were looking at video footage. The lighting effects also represent the pinnacle of what can be achieved on the PS3. GAME GRID: The shear size and terrain diversity is equally mind boggling. The wildlife and pedestrian AI is outstanding enough to keep you occupied for hours, whether you're content to listen to asinine conversations of passers by, watch the beach girls stroll down the street, or hunt wildlife while evading deadly mountain lions. Or you could swim to underwater sea wreckage and get chomped by a shark! CHARACTERS: Another mixed bag of degenerate fun. The character selection panel is new for this entry and adds an unprecedented layer of intensity as the game has you switching between characters in the midst of chaotic shootouts and driving and flying missions. GENERAL GAMEPLAY: Here's where a few complaints are in order. The steering on the vehicles is a bit twitchy and vague. As you turn the wheel the radius becomes progressively more intense. If you turn the wheel a micron too far, the car overcorrects and winds up eating a lamp post. It does require some adapting to, but not impossible. The police AI is noticeably more reactive even to petty crimes than in previous entries, and when in pursuit, ruin your day faster than you can reload. The flying is perhaps the only travesty worthy of mention. It has been, in a word, RUINED. I don't know what compelled the game designers to reinvent the wheel by inputting so much air turbulence into aircraft handling as to make it such a jarring, nauseating, experience in dealing with a plane or helicopter that is constantly unsettled by simulated wind shear. Don't allow such complaints to stear you away from GTA5. They are but trivial flaws in an otherwise captivating game stuffed to the brim with visual and audible detail and a rich diversity of missions, sub-plots and activities both prescribed and informal. You will be hooked. (And few games provide such a real threat to my social life. You've been warned!) PLAY THIS GAME NOW!!!

Awesome open world game! Be aware of the content advisories everyone posts about!
This game will have you immersed into an open world (sandbox) style environment. There is so much to do in this game, and even when you don't know what to do, trouble will eventually find you to keep you busy. Countless hours will be invested into this game improving your characters' (you switch between 3 characters) ability. Pretty much every type of vehicle you can think of is available to use in this game. Cars, trucks, semis, pickups, limos, buses, fire trucks, ambulances, monster sized dump trucks, trains, planes, jets, motorcycles, personal water crafts, dinghies, speedboats, helicopters, tanks, army vehicles, bicycles, atv's, off-road vehicles, dune buggies, parachutes, vans, delivery trucks, armored security truck/vans, airport shuttle buses, 747 airplanes, and the list goes on... No matter what type of vehicle you are using, Rockstar has managed to perfect the ability to convey the feel that you are actually in that vehicle. This game is well thought out in terms of entertainment value as well as the storyline. Transitions between live play and the cinematic sequences are seamless. There is no loading the next zone or area to wait for. When you get into this game, you can find yourself playing for hours without realizing it. I cannot stress enough, to those not familiar just how much and noticeable some content that is usually objectionable. Over-the-top profanity, Nudity, sexual activities, drugs, criminal activity ranging from speeding to out right murder and assassinations. There is a strip club in the world in which you are able to interact with stripping women. You will become a drug running mule, interact with prostitutes and even commit arson. I'm not sure if they left any crime out of this game. Having the ability to separate reality from make-believe is essential. If you saw it in a game and think it might be a good idea to try after you turn off your console, maybe this game is not for you. There are no female characters in which to control (except if you play online and select to be female there). I suspect most females would find this game offensive to extreme. - Hours of content is about 100-150 hours - Re-playability - very high - Download Content - not yet available, much like GTA 4, they are much slower than should be for this. - Online content - works but the population (player participation) is low for online use and it continues to dwindle.

Best GTA game so far!
Man, this game is great. I'm not gonna lie, when I first I played the game, I only did about 1 mission and messed around for the rest of the session and I Felt kinda underwhelmed, I can't really explain why, though. The next day I played the game again, I started to do more mission and more and more things started to unlock like Clothing stores, Properties etc... That's when I started to enjoy the game, because I could customize my characters and vehicles. 'Most' missions were great, the heist ones were amazing, GTA5 truly has the best missions out of all the GTA games that have been released so far. What really got me was the 'Little Things', The 'attention to detail', it's just mind blowing. For example, The GPS doesn't work when going through a tunnel, you could hear the vehicles cooling off sounds, when you turn them off, If you follow random female NPCs around the city they will sometimes get nervous, look over their shoulder, and start walking faster etc... There are way to many things for me to list. GTA5's world is the most alive city I have ever seen in any game before. If you just stand there you could hear birds singing, People walking by while talking on the phone or having a conversation with each other, Heli's and planes passing fly over you, the bass of music in random houses, shooting in other streets etc... Again, it's to much for me to list, here. The 3 characters are pretty good main characters, my favorite one is Michael, though a lot people prefer Trevor. 'Trevor' is just a psychopath, 'Michael' is a retired 'heister' (if that's even a word) with family problems and 'Franklin' is a guy whose trying to get out of the gang life and go for something bigger. The game looks better than the previous GTA game, you will probably be surprised by how good it looks for current gen consoles. Overall the game is amazing, and a big step up from GTA 4, I really recommend you buying this game.

Best GTA experience to date
I have been playing GTA games since GTA3 touched down on the PS2, and have loved most of them. This title however takes the cake in terms of graphics, story and gameplay. It's just overall a superior gaming experience. When I first got the game, I found the whole switching between characters to be confusing, and a little pointless, however as I got further into the game I began to appreciate it, and in fact loved it! I also loved the fact that missions were not just your standard smash and grab mission, but instead were detailed heists, that had multiple ways of pulling it off(Also adding to the replay value). The area of Los Santos is huge, and comprises several locals and towns. From the towering glass spires of the city, to the woodsy backwoods, to the scorching desert. You will find a lot here! This is obviously the largest of the GTA game worlds, and is fun to explore. In this installment, you can even explore underwater. You will never have a dull moment. Plus, you also get access to Grand Theft Auto Online, which is a nice feature, and is included free with the game, but is nowhere near as cool as Rockstar tends to make it sound. Now, the downside! Normally, I would let my kid play a game with an M rating, as a lot of kids these days are mature, however when it comes to GTA5? No way! This has got to be the most adult game in the franchise. In past games, when you picked up a street walker, the car would bounce around. This one? Well, you can see into the car, but not really see anything! However there is sound effects! Overall, if you're an adult, and love GTA games, this is something you need to check out. I'm still hoping they release some single player DLCs

This Game is Amazing; But not for the Single Player Storyline
Everyone know's Grand Thief and it's main appeal to many different groups of gamers. It is loved by many because it offers a way to commit illegal acts and just have pure unadulterated fun, at the expense of no-one. While the pure free roam of this game is fantastic just like the other games in the series, the story isn't anything special. Normally you'll find a character to latch onto, that morally you could get behind and feel like you're playing a character trying to do the right thing, not in Grand Theft Auto V. The Campaign isn't something that you should be buying this game for, it doesn't lack a good narrative or character progression, it just doesn't offer anything to keep you playing. You have the choice of playing a ex-heist man, you continues to screw his life up, and his children and goes back into the the business of heisting. I got behind this character the most because of the story with his family being even worse than him, but even so, I didn't feel like he was doing anything morally right, or something I could get behind. He was the lesser of the three evils, and he was a mad man. I'll quickly cover the other two characters and then get into some of the game-play and controller feel etc. The two other characters are a thug, who is trying to get himself out of the hood and into making "real money" and not putting himself in situations that could get him killed. While that seems as something you could get behind, this is not the case. He's a murder and besides the best way to get out of the hood, is to heist and commit assassinations for a man, Lester, trying to control the stock market. Trevor is a horrible, horrible human being and you realize this right from the beginning of your first meeting with him. I don't want to dive much into his character because the horribleness of it needs to be experienced for yourself, it's actually crazy how someone could write a character as morally wrong as Trevor. Now onto gameplay and the thing everyone mostly wants to know about this game, Multiplayer. First off, the gameplay, for running on consoles that are extremely outdated is runs extremely well. I was actually surprised that a world this big could be played on 7 year old hardware (note: It requires a 8gb download onto the hard drive.) I never had one issue with a freeze or crash, I am playing on a fairly new console though (PS3 Slim 120gb.) Though people I have played with have launch consoles and received zero issues either. I'm actually impressed, mainly being a PC Gamer has gotten me to be very ivy league with graphics and gameplay, and GTA V felt smooth and responsive. If gameplay was something you think would suffer, fret not, because the game runs near flawless. Rockstar put an absurd amount of money into what is one of the best games, of this generation. OK, a quick talk about the MP because while the game if out, the MP is still suffering from issues and it isn't complete. The introduction of a persistent world, really adds to the GTA experience. While a large number of people had no issue with the quick game style MP, this makes you feel like you're actually part of the world, not just visiting. Rockstar has some larger plans for the Multiplayer down the line (Ex: Heist with your friends.) Though right now, there is races, survival, deathmatch to name just a few. These got boring really quickly, and since Rockstar was having issues with characters, I was struck with a bug that deleted my character. Since than, I've hardly played because there isn't enough to do to make me go through the hassle of everything that I experienced last time. While the MP has a shot at being great; it's not there yet, and I suggest you stay away or tread carefully becuase you never know what type of bugs might exist.

My Grand Theft Auto V Review
The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest in video games and Rockstar proves that a franchise doesn’t need to saturate the market by having a new game release every year. It has been five years sense Grand Theft Auto IV and although Rockstar has made other games in that time, the world of GTAV alone feels like they have been working on this game that whole time. As of GTA IV, Rockstar went for more of a series tone with the franchise and it didn’t fit well with all the anarchy that players could get into. Now with GTAV the story is serious again and this time told in a more exciting way which lends itself to having some lighthearted moments that mix with the serious moments smoothly without feeling out of place for the most part. The story works well and that is helped by some of the best characters in the series and once again great depth to the world around you, but GTAV still leaves room for improvement with the characters as well as how things work in the world. Instead of playing as one character running amuck across town, this time you take on the role of three different characters. You are introduced to all three characters over the first few hours of the game one at a time, getting a small piece of their lives while doing so and learning a little about them. There is Michael, who was a career criminal that has now slowed down, retired from the life with his wife and kids in Los Santos, which is game's version of Los Angeles. He has been spending his time bored out of his mind sitting around his house drinking; meanwhile his wife and kids hate him. Then there is Franklin, who is a low rent gangster. He and his best friend Lamar are the more typical style for this kind of gang as they are doing basic crimes trying to step up to bigger things. Franklin and Lamar at the time though are working for a crooked car dealer stealing cars for him, which is what leads to the meeting between him and Michael. From there the main story really starts going as Michael takes Franklin under his wing and they start working together and making a name for themselves, at least enough to catch the attention of Trevor, who is an old partner in crime of Michaels. Trevor is your typical loose canon, basically his whole life is lead by acting out like when you get bored in a GTA game and run around causing havoc. He swears, drinks and kills as he pleases with little remorse. His main gig is running a meth lab operation in the country/deserted area north of Los Santos. Trevor has spent the last ten years thinking Michael is dead until now, leading him into town to see for himself that Michael is still alive. This leads to a shaky and uneasy relationship between these three characters. Rockstar has done a great job of making it easy to switch between these three characters, unless you are in the middle of a mission. Some missions are for just that one character you have selected, while others are for two or maybe all three. Most of the time you can switch to any of the three you’d like and be introduced to whatever is going on in their life at that time. You can switch to Michael as he wakes up screaming from night terrors or walking out of a coffee shop throwing his cup on the ground. You can switch to Franklin playing with his dog Chop or trying to keep his friends from fighting or you can switch to Trevor puking into fountains or in his underwear chasing girls out of the strip club. It is nice giving the idea that all three of these guys are out living their lives even when you are not controlling them at all. The mission structure is pretty standard for a GTA game. There is a letter on the map that pops up and you drive to it, have a little cut scene and most likely end up driving someplace else to really get going. Some missions have multiple parts to them as well. Those types of missions usually end up mixing it up with one or two of the other main characters from the game. For example there is a chain of missions were Franklin is boosting unique cars and Trevor comes in to help and they take off with the cars on the back of a truck down the highway and as Trevor you have to try getting away from the police that catch on. However you can’t shake them so the game has you switch to Franklin to climb into a \car on the back of the truck, drop it off the back and shoot the police are that are in pursuit. There are other missions where the characters find themselves in a shoot out and you can switch between them making it kind of tactical when it needs to be. This also plays into the game’s special abilities and stats for each character. All the characters have a list of stats for things like driving, shooting and energy. Again for example, Trevor is better at shooting then Franklin. However stats like the shooting don’t make any difference seeing that there is an auto-aim that makes picking off enemies (or the police) just as easy for everyone. The only statistic that seems to make any difference is the character specialty ones. Each has their own, such as Trevor goes into a rampage-esque mode and takes less damage, Franklin can use his while driving and slows down time to make better moves on the road and Michael has the ability to become more focused when in a firefight, having kind of a Max Payne feel to it, but not as dramatic. These all come in handy, however when it comes to the combat oriented ones if you use the cover system along with the previously mentioned auto-aim you will easily make it out of most encounters with enemies. There are times that missions deviate from the normal style such as when your crew takes on different heists. These missions take some extra planning and happen at pivotal points in the main story. These missions usually start out by getting information on the building or area you are going to have the heist happen and then choosing a “Plan A” or “Plan B” and depending on which you decide on you will make plans from there. You can play a sloppy way that is more dangerous or a more laid out plan that is less risky and makes for a more smooth in and out situation. From there you choose a crew (outside of the main three characters). You will higher a shooter, hack and a driver. Some of these missions you won’t need all three, maybe one or two. You will choose these people on their stats and those with higher stats will cost more money that is received from the heist. If you choose a shooter that is not as experienced he might die during the job and the money he was caring is gone and taken out of the total at the end. However, whoever you choose and make it through the mission the stats can go up, but the percentage of their take will stay the same. So it is possible to use inexperienced people and keep from paying them more as they get better. Some heists will need extra steps to complete before starting the heist. Maybe the job requires masks, clothing and weapons. You can have one of the main characters go buy it all or have one of each do a few steps making it feel like it was a team effort to get everything set up. You will sometimes also need to get yourself a getaway car and find a good place to stash it for once the job is done you can get away easily and quickly. Sometimes the job will call for specific vehicles like garbage trucks or maintenance vans and you will have to steal those as part of the set up. All this is a nice and welcome changed from the typical mission structure of the GTA series and they come a long just in time to keep things fresh and different. The only complain about this is there should have been a lot more of these types of missions. So you have your story missions and heists and of course there are side events. Outside of that there are random events that pop up when you are cruising around, these are usually simply things like someone stealing a purse from a woman or stealing a car. You can stop these from happening and do one of two things, keep the money you pick up or keep the vehicle that you get from the thief. After all you are playing as one of three criminals in their own right. There are also missions referred to as "Strangers and Freaks". These missions have little structure to them, but just enough to be something different. They are pretty typical for an open world game and each character have different events that unfold from them. Trevor for instance runs into some border control nut jobs in the desert bent on locking up whoever they assume is an illegal alien. Michael lets some random woman talk him into a footrace and Franklin gets mixed up with a weirdo that wants to get marijuana legalized. It is missions like this that keeps GTAV down to earth and brings in some humor. It keeps the game from feeling too serious all the time. There are also other things to do like street racing what not to do in the world, like any game of this caliber. Of course there is the simplest thing to do like joy ride around and see how long you can last with five wanted stars. As mentioned and of course expected there is a ton of driving that happens in this game. Unfortunately Rockstar still doesn’t seem to grasp the concept of gravity when it comes to the driving. The GTA series sense turning into a third-person game in GTA3 has had an awful time with the driving. Even now in GTAV it feels like you’re driving on icy roads while there is hardly any gravity. It is something that you do get use to, but really shouldn’t have to after all this time. I hate to bring it up, but the Saint’s Row series has had a better handle on driving the entire time compared to the GTA series. Also the flying is still a problem and like driving only becomes bearable after getting use to it. Although, when it comes to flying there is also the landing which is even more of a chore. Landing a plan in GTAV reminded me of trying to land a fighter jet on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun of the NES. GTAV is by far the best game in the series. Rockstar is so great a creating a world to live in and great characters to play as and they have out done themselves here once again. Driving is the only real downer about this game and even though you shouldn’t have to get use to it, once you do it works pretty well. There is also an online component to the game, but that is not out until October 1st. With all that GTAV offers though it is alright for Rockstar to take their time and get the online done right. There is no need to rush it with some much in the world already. GTAV might not be as surprising as it seemed like it would be, playing as more then one character and having such a huge open world, but it still makes it the best. I can see already other games trying to bring in the multiple main character aspect that GTAV has and they already perfected it as far as I am concerned. I just wish that GTAV came out earlier to help get through the summer drought of no game releases, but it is here now and worth picking up right away. It will also keep those afloat for awhile that don’t plan picking up next-gen systems anytime soon.

R* HAS RE-IMAGINED THE OPEN WORLD
The GTA Series has come a long way from the very first title that was ever released. Great Times have been partaken by players, Moments of Glory have been Highlighted, and Deserving Recognition's have been granted to the Makers themselves known as Rockstar. Time and Time again, Pushes have been made, Climbing of the ladder has been achieved, and Strides to Perfection has been attempted. When it comes to Open World Gaming, Rockstar makes it their Mission to perfect a world to the finest touch and be successful at it in the process. Grand Theft Auto V is a perfect example of what can be achieved when you devote the TIME and EFFORT to truly make something special and not see it as just another lifeless Video Game that attempts to entertain and make time pass. With an Estimated 256 MILLION DOLLARS invested into the game sitting only SECOND to Blockbuster movie, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End" This game represents a step in the right direction for the Video Game Industry and Gaming itself, as it broadens it's reach from not only Gamers themselves, but reaches out to the General Public and invites them to take a trip through a Sprawling city that is full of Life, Entertainment, Beauty, and Fun. If There was ever to exist a Video Games "Hall Of Fame" Rockstar would surely be at the top of that list with some of the greatest masterpieces Gamers have come to know. DO NOT Hesitate to Order this now and experience it for yourself. Because odds are, your next door neighbor is already thoroughly enjoying this and here you sit pondering over the thought of getting it or not. You owe it to yourself to truly realize what being a Gamer really is and it's to be able to experience such breathtaking visuals and a well plotted story-line. Best Of Luck in your Decision!

This is an amazing game.
しかし、数ヶ月前にThe last of usで感動したばかりなのに.... 今年は本当にゲームが豊作ですね。 あと、Rockstarのゲーム、MAX PAYNE 3を未プレーの方はぜひ!今作の銃撃アクションの基本となったゲームです。超良作です。
