I've been using these strings for years because they feel and sounds great! They also last a long time, which is nice since they cost a bit more than most. Totally worth it though! This 3 pack is a great deal, so if you play a lot and change strings often, this is the way to go.

Years ago I treated myself to a Taylor 214ce, replacing my old faithful, beat up Fender Gemini II. I got this guitar because I like that "sparkly" sound and the feel of it under my fingers. These strings bring out the best and the brightest without sounding brassy and brash. I've never put another type of string on this guitar; if something works, don't fix it. The 3-pack just makes it so much better, not only for the price point, but the peace of mind knowing I have an ample amount of spares in the case, although I don't recall ever popping an Exlixr string; and I'm an elementary general music teacher who plays this thing all day, everyday, and am guilty of keeping the same strings on for way too long. But oh, when I do change the strings, what a beautiful sound!

Tried all of them, loved many, but these are the best. A guitar tech old me they are without a doubt, the best strings. You always hear this type hype. He is right, they are awesome, sound as good as my favorites like daddario’s or Martin Lifespans 2.0 but they are smooth to the touch, squeekless and incredible tone.

These are by far the best strings available. I have been using them since they first came out. I practice and gig on a regular basis and on my primary stage guitar I replace them once a year out of habit, not because they are starting to sound bad. I took one of my back up acoustics to rehearsal this week and saw a note I had left in the case indicating when I had last changed the strings. It was over four years ago and they still sound great! I have tried coated strings from several other major companies and they simply do not last that long. The best way to demonstrate this is the next time you change strings, put on five Elixers and one wound string from another company. Within a month that one string will sound dull compared to the others. At that point, simply remove it and replace it with that Elixer from the original pack.

I'll admit it, I don't change my guitar strings as often as I should. I'm not performing live bluegrass or something where I need brightness to stand out in the mix and I would choose the tuning stability of older strings over the improvements in timbre every day of the week... until strings get funky. These strings do actually last longer before getting funky. They feel very slightly better on the fingers without the downsides of most other coated options and, to me, are worth the small price premium.
