Best fish tank ever!!
I think this is a very good fish tank for the price! I got this a few months ago and it works very well, the filter can be a little strong if there isn’t enough water, so make sure it’s filled up enough! My betta loves this tank and is much better than my 5gal I had for him! This tank was very easy to set up and came with no cracks or anything missing! It’s a pretty big tank, it has a bright light, along with that it has a nice filter that can easily be taken out and cleaned.

Great as a Beginner Tank
This 10-gallon fish tank is great if you're starting out as an aquascaper. It comes with the necessary accessories to start caring for your first pet fish, such as a betta fish, tetra, or guppies. If you're looking to keep a goldfish, you need a bigger tank no smaller than a 20-gallon tank. The minimum for one goldfish is 20 gallons, then an additional 10 gallons for every additional goldfish. This 10-gallon tank is more than enough for smaller fish. It's good enough as a training tank to get yourself used to caring for plants and pet fishes, then upgrade later to a bigger tank when you're confident enough for the next challenge. I'm planning to get a bigger tank later and use this smaller tank as a quarantine tank or for growing plants before transferring to a main tank. My two main gripes about this fish tank are 1) the glass looks thin than I would have liked, and 2) the LED lights seem not strong enough, especially if you're planning to use this tank as a planted tank. The LED lights could use a little bit of tweaking. One other thing which I think is important: make sure to put a foam filter around the suction tube of the included filter to avoid smaller fish from getting sucked into the filter tube and through the motor. Better be safe than sorry later. The motor is quiet enough but it does have some suction power to it. Overall, I would recommend this fish tank for beginners.

Excellent Aquarium – Read This Before You Set It Up
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I had to write this one. As someone who often follows intuition, I can honestly say that if I had relied only on some of the mixed reviews, I probably wouldn’t have bought this aquarium. I did — and I have absolutely no regrets. I’m writing this review purely to help others, because I noticed that many of the issues people mention come from misunderstanding how the system works, not from the product itself. The aquarium is excellent, but there are a few very important things you should know: First – the filter. The filter that comes with the aquarium is strong and should never be used without protection. You MUST add a pre-filter sponge to the intake (a sponge designed specifically for the intake tube). This is important for all fish, not just small ones, because without it there is a real risk of the fish being pulled in. This sponge is not included and needs to be purchased separately. Second – do not keep replacing the white filter cartridge. This is one of the biggest mistakes people make. Replacing it too often destroys beneficial bacteria and disrupts the nitrogen cycle. My recommendation is to replace that cartridge with a filter sponge (cut-to-fit) as soon as possible. Until then, you can rinse the original cartridge gently in tank water (never tap water) and reuse it. Third – the indicator light. Many people complain that the light turns on and don’t understand why. The reason is simple: if you push the filter media (cartridge or sponge) too far down, the water level inside the filter rises and triggers the indicator. The solution is not to push it all the way down. As soon as you slightly lift or reposition it, the water level normalizes and the light turns off. This solved the issue completely for me. Fourth – water flow. If you have a betta (like I do), the flow can be too strong. The solution is simple: place a thin piece of filter sponge (cut-to-fit) behind the existing sponge at the filter outlet. This does not block the filter, it only reduces the flow. I recommend around 20 PPI sponge — don’t go too dense. If the surface becomes too still, just adjust the sponge slightly to allow gentle movement. When everything is set up properly, the water level should be just below the black rim of the tank, especially near the filter output. Honestly, the aquarium looks beautiful. We also purchased the matching stand, and we are very happy with it. The lighting is especially nice and looks even better in person than in photos. If this helps someone avoid the common mistakes I’ve seen — then this review served its purpose.☺️

LED lights are BRIGHT
The filter is quiet and tank is spacious! My beta fish and his 3 corydora tank mates have a lot of room to move around. I was nervous at first with the filter and my fish accidentally getting stuck in it, but they have never had an issue with it. I appreciated the inclusion of the water heater and it works great. Never had a problem with the water temp. My only problem was how bright the LED light were. The moment I turned on the LED lights, my fish would freak out with how bright it was. I put leaves on top of the water to block out the light and create shaded corners, but they would still freak out the moment I turned on the light. In the end, I taped green color tape on all the LED lights at the bottom of the lid. Once I did that, I noticed my fish weren't freaking out when I turned on the light and seemed more at easy. I do wish there was an option to dim the lights or perhaps put the lights to a different color. Everything else is good!

Very nice starter kit
I bought this to raise some baby angels. One of the pairs in my 38 gallon tanks laid eggs. Everything you need to get started, quality pieces, and easy to set up.

Nice Beginner Tank Set - Check the Filter Set!
Nice tank and accessories for the price. Only reason I gave 3 stars is because my filter was missing pieces. As a beginner I didn’t know I was missing the extension tube on the filter. Unfortunately I learned the hard way it was missing this tube when my fish was sucked up into the filter and died.

Well made, good size, great filter
We bought this when we needed to upgrade the tank on a carnival goldfish - you know the ones that either live for five seconds or twenty five years. Said goldfish arrived unannounced after an afternoon with the grandparents. Anyway, after looking in store, we were put off by the cost because we could not find a tank that had a powerful enough filter that was also in the size we were wanting. We found this one and took a chance, because shipping a glass tank seemed sketchy, but it turned out great! The tank and box both arrived in good condition, the seams on the tank are well sealed, the top fits nicely, and all in all we were pleased with the quality and look. It is a true 10 gallon, so now concerns there, and the filter has done a great job of keeping the water clear, clean, and safe for the fish. The heater is a nice addition and an often overlooked item for fresh water fish, so having it included was a bonus, although, its suction cups don't hold super well. We have had to re-set it once since we bought it just over a month ago. The filter can sound buzzy if you don't have the filter latched on just right, but it is as simple as a gentle tap. As you can see, it fit the large bubbler ship nicely, with enough room for some low artificial plants and seashells. We opted for the sand (which needed rinsed MANY times) and it hasn't been an issue at all for the filter or the sand, meaning the filter doesn't seemed overly worked by the organic material and the water output doesn't disturb the sand. Solid buy for us.

KILLED MY FISH
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS IT KILLED MY FISH!! the tank itself is okay so a lot of glue. The lid is really flimsy which I like because it’s easy to take off and has lights. The lights work but aren’t super strong so not great for heavily plated tanks. The heater is garbage you’ll have to get a new one AND THE FILTER KILLED MY FISH!!! IT IS WAY TOO STRONG FOR A BETTA IT PUSHED HIM AROUND AND MADE IT HARD FOR HIM TO SWIM THEN I CAME HOME FROM WORK HE WAS MISSING AND I LOOKED INSIDE THE FILTER AND HE WAS SHREDDED INTO PIECES!!!!!! DONT BUY THIS KIT IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY YOULL HAVE TO REPLACE EVERYTHING WITH PROPER VERSIONS

The filter stopped working after 5 months
Definitely not acceptable for a fish tank kit where the filter just suddenly stopped working after only 5 months. Have to find an emergency solution for my fish and shimps in the tank before the replacement filter comes. Not recommending buying from Aqueon.
