I recently installed the SSF-604-40 SumoSprings Front on my 3rd genToyota Tacoma, and the difference has been fantastic. With a robust 1400 lb capacity at 50% compression, these springs provide excellent support and stability, making a noticeable improvement in ride quality and handling. The most significant upgrade is how much more pleasant bottoming out has become—there’s a smooth, controlled response rather than the harsh jolt I used to experience. Installation was straightforward, and the fact that they’re made in the USA assures high quality and durability. Overall, these SumoSprings have exceeded my expectations and are a great investment for anyone looking to enhance their vehicle’s performance. Highly recommended!

I’ve had these on my 2020 Toyota Tacoma Limited stock tires and suspension, for a few months. Installation was easy with a large wrench or channel locks. The rear can be installed without lifting the truck, however the front did require a floor jack to increase space to install the front bump stops. I was torn between the blue and black options. Black is stiffer and provides more weight capacity however the blue has been working well and I was concerned with ride quality going with the black. I have noticed no difference in ride quality while driving with no load in the truck (Blue). I have towed around 5k- 6k with very minimal rear sag maybe 1-2”. Prior was extreme. I did include the front bump stops as I plow with this truck, my own personal driveway and a few family members using a boss HTX-V plow 7.6’. I noticed almost no sag, 1” tops with the plow in the up position. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I just hope overtime the polymer doesn’t deteriorate or soften, reducing weight capacity. I would not hesitate to purchase again as an option versus airbags or additional leaf springs. The ease on installation and maintenance is superior to airbags in my opinion.

I installed these while my truck was stock hight. They greatly improved the body roll, or lack there of, after installing. Easy to install. Perfect fit. Improved ride comfort immediately.

These bumpstops helped control the corner and brake stop lean of my 2020 Taco. No sqeek noise at all. I installed both fronts and rear in my home garage.

Installed on my 2013 4runner. Love the change to on road handling. Improved stability and while towing. Off-road handling improved as well, but I am not some super aggressive rock crawler, lol.

The stud was too long to allow me to install the SumoSpring on my non-lifted 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road which was jacked up with the tires off the ground. I test drove my Taco over a known dip and the results were remarkable in that compression of the front suspension was much smoother, no harsh bottoming out like with the stock bump-stops. While it was up . . . I applied a coat of AT-205 Re-Seal to all four Axel Boots to promote longevity.

Had to cut half the thread off before I could attempt to install it. Original bump stop thread was as long as what I ended up with. Truck jacked up to give the most room for install I still had to tap it in compression of the sumo spring on one side of it to align it to thread in. Both installed this way. End result they are in compressed one third when parked (always touching) however the ride has improved. My guess there more universal size for vehicles.

I put these on my 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. I didn't have to cut any of the threads off. The threads are longer and I enclosed a picture so you can see the difference. I just jacked up the frame so the lower control arm would lower. They were easy to get to when you do that. Also, they thread all the way up tight. Just make sure to use the lock-tight that comes with them.

Work as intended. Great product.

Expensive but works great, definitely less bumpy. Had to cut about 3/8" off to fit underneath. If you lightly grind the top thread to a small tapper, it will make it easier to screw in

the product look really great and it lift the truck approx 1"1/2 , the original bump will broke in place at 90% so that why i take picture of the job for the solution the plate i cut in a circle to weld the nut is 1/4 thick and i cut the original bolt in place with a plasma if you are equiped is a 2-3 hours job

These work great. No more harsh bump stops.

It was so nice not to receive this item and loved that I paid extra for the total lack of shipping. Great item if you don’t care if you receive it or not
