Travelon Anti-Theft Active Tour Bag

I needed a travel bag for a long trip to Europe. The last time we went to London my daughter had her phone pickpocketed. I used a backpack but it didn't have locking zippers so I was afraid to wear it on my back in a crowd. It could easily have been unzipped and things taken by a pickpocket. I literally ordered 12 travel bags from Amazon. I had criterion I needed to adhere to and this is the ONLY bag that met them all. First- Finding a bag with a side pocket big enough to fit a large water bottle was number 1. This one is perfect. It will zip for smaller bottles and unzip for larger. The rest barely held the smallest bottle. this one will hold my Yeti drink cup! Second- It also has self-locking zippers that are great! The others you had to have your own carabiners to lock them, if they even had the metal loop that you could lock the zipper on to at all. Third- This one has a slash proof strap that is adjustable to the perfect length to either hang on your shoulder or do crossbody. Fourth- It also is RIFD protected, which in a crowd is a must for me. Fifth- There are plenty of compartments and inside the compartments are credit card slots and additional pockets. Sixth- it's small enough to be light and convenient. Smaller than a backpack or even my regular everyday purse, but large enough to carry everything I need when I'm out sightseeing for the day, with extra room in case I might buy something and want to carry it in my bag. There are not a lot of colors to choose from but I got the green and it is really pretty. All in all I absolutely love this bag. I am traveling with it right now and find it perfect.I was so glad I finally found the right travel bag. It's crazy that the others I got all call themselves a travel bag, but they do not really meet ALL the needs that people must have when they are traveling. If you are looking for the perfect travel bag, get this one!

I bought this bag for a European vacation, as we were warned about pick pockets in crowded areas. It was perfect! I’ll never know if I was targeted by a thief, but I can say that all my belongings stayed safe. The slash proof strap worked nicely to wear the bag cross body, keeping the bag more in front of me. The clip mechanism on the strap was great for securing to chairs/tables in public areas, like cafes. The latching zippers kept things extra secure. And the expandable bottle holder was so handy! In addition to all the security features, the bag has a nice design/layout, making it easy to keep your things organized. And I was surprised how much the bag can hold. It doesn’t seem so big, but I easily carried my personal items, phone, glasses, etc.; and the listening devices for our tours, two bottles of water (one in the holder and a backup stashed inside), and even rain ponchos. And for air travel, it slid nicely into my smallish backpack (20L), to accommodate the airline’s limit of one carry on and one personal item. I look forward to using this bag again and definitely recommend it!

I love this bag so much. Received another from this brand as a gift about a million years ago that is still with me and solid. But I wanted a new one. This is perfect! All the right pockets. All the right space and size, specifically in the length. Nothing falls out. I love the added bonus of the locking zippers. I love the side water bottle/phone pocket. I love the water resilient fabric. Love the color. I would 100% buy this bag again. The only reason for the doc of one star is that I don’t fully love the way it feels around my neck. It feels bulky there. Even when my bag isn’t totally full and weighted down. The strap just feels big and heavy on my neck—yes I’ve tried shifting it around. I know that’s a me problem and others may not be weird like me. So don’t let it sway you from buying. Just trying to be honest. Again I would buy this bag again!

Absolutely the most perfect size! Hole my iPad Air even in its protective case! Looking forward to my next trip. This bag will make traveling so much easier and completely more organized. Will be perfect for train 🚊 and plane ✈️ travel.

I bought this bag for a trip to Italy and Greece after having purchased and returned several that just didn't seem to be as travel friendly as they were advertised to be. This bag was excellent! It held everything I needed for each days itinerary. The side pocket holds a nice sized water bottle. There in a zippered pocket on the inside/next to your body which felt secure next to me and was excellent for items I wanted to reach for frequently like my phone that I used for its camera function or my small travel camera as I carried both. The interior looks small but if you're an efficient organizer, can really carry quite a bit. I had my reading book, a small first aide/medicine pack, charger/adaptor, wallet/money/IDs, misc stuff like tissues, etc... I loved the secured zipper feature and did not find them difficult at all to latch or unlatch. The bag with its RFID blocker, latching zippers and no-cut shoulder strap gave me peace of mind in the crowded streets. It wasn't bulky, it never felt heavy, and I now use it at home for my daily purse because I enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended purchase.

This bag was almost perfect. It has wonderful pockets and I loved how wide it opened for accommodating anything you want to put inside. The straps were extremely comfortable as well. The style is more utilitarian than I like, more unisex than a typical purse. I ultimately decided on a different Travelon bag that looked a bit more feminine and more like a purse. It truly seemed like a great bag, just not quite my style.

This is my 2nd Travelon bag, love them both. We do volkmarches (10K or 6.2 mile walks, terrain and type of walk vary) and I was looking for a cross body bag to carry essentials, camera, etc... I also own the Travelon bucket bag and while I love it, I then tried this one because of the style. I have a Canon 70D, its a big, heavy camera. This bag fits my camera perfectly. I love pockets and this bag has a lot! Camera fits in center, there's a wallet area, other zip pockets. I do wish they had put the water bottle pocket on both side, not sure why they didn't. I roll up a small rain jacket and it fits perfectly in that side pocket so I like to have the other side for a water bottle. This time I used a carabiner to attach a water bottle. It was a lot of weight and it bounced around a little more than I like but worked fine. The bag itself is very light and sufficiently padded if you are carrying a camera. We have walked in rain and misty-drizzle and things inside have always been dry after being outside for several hours. I like the strap better on this bag, a little softer than the one on my bucket bag. The bucket bag style does offer a little more room in the main compartment so if I am carrying my zoom lens, I would have to use that one but I like the style of this one, and all the pockets a little better. Very happy with my purchase. If they make on just like this but maybe with another 2 inches in space, I'd buy that one too! And this isn't anything to judge a bag by but I ordered this in the Wine color and really like the color too. : )

I love travelon products and have been very happy with them in the past. I love the design of this bag but unfortunately there is a big hole in the lining of one of the pockets. I didn't use the bag until after my return window expired so unfortunately I have no remedy. I do recommend the bag, but check it out thoroughly when it arrives.

I bought this in preparation for a trip in the Mediterranean in the Fall. I read the reviews and was a bit concerned with some of them mentioning issues with the zippers and bottle holder. So far I’ve had NO issues. The water bottle holder can actually fit a 1litre Tupperware bottle. I tried it. I wouldn’t necessarily put 1 litre in as it would be super heavy but it’s good to know it is an option. This bag has several pockets and lots of space. The strap is very secure and strong. And adjustable. At first this bag felt a bit heavy and could feel like it’s pulling on your neck. But I did adapt to it quickly. So far so good and I would highly recommend this bag. I would also recommend purchasing several months in advance so you can practice using it as the security features on the zippers take a bit to get used to.

I used this bag as both hand luggage and an everyday bag on a recent city break. The locking zips and security pockets for credit cards are very useful anti theft deterrents. The bag is deceptively spacious with room for my kindle, phone, glasses, passport, purse, hairbrush in lots of different compartments , with space left over for gloves and a separate and very useful water bottle pocket. All in all I am very pleased with this bag and think it is very good value for money.
