We like salads. For me the test of a knife is with a tomato. With our regular reasonable quality knives I have to sharpen them regularly to an edge that will bite. I tried this knife in a holiday let and had to get one myself. No more squished tomatoes! Bites into the softest ripe skin. Perfect! Have to be careful though, it requires a light touch otherwise you're cutting into the chopping board.

Bought this to take on holiday as a review had been left for our gite stating a lack of a decent paring knife, didnt want to take my expensive ones. This doesn't disappoint. Its a German Solingen made knife. Its immensely sharp and should have a guard. Its got a sharp toothed edge that cuts like butter. Fantastic for tomatoes, eggs but moves through anything clean and quick...probably flesh too! Looks smart, shiny mica black handle. Notvsure of its durability, very flexy, May notvsharpen when it loses its edge. Excellent for what I want, well pleased .

At £3.99 delivered I knew this wasn't going to be top quality, so I ordered a Kitchen Devil at the same time (as I know they are good quality) but was really pleased with this Solingen knife and use it far more than the KD. It is so SHARP it cuts even things like tomatoes with ease, making lovely thin slices (careful with it as it also cut ME quite nicely haha.) I love it so much I have ordered two more, as I fear it won't last very long... but for the money SUPERB

Very sharpe excellent quality

Very sharp little knife, great for cutting vegetables especially tomatoes and onions. It has a decent grip and is easy to handle. Good value for money.

I bought this to replace a knife I'd had for years, which was also my favourite, but somehow I managed to lose it! Probably put it in the bin by mistake. This knife is just as comfortable in my hand, but fractionally smaller which is not a problem. Cuts like a dream through tomatoes and any other soft fruit, without squashing it, and peels well. Great little knife and as sharp as a razor. I would say the only improvement they could have made would have been to put it in a sheath as it is so sharp, you could easily cut yourself if you're not careful getting it from the drawer.

This is a decent knife and it does the job you would expect it to do. The size is perfect for me as I had similar side knives before and this was a replacement. Some may not like it if you are used to bigger knives so please check the size before you buy it. It has been cutting vegetables just fine for me and it feels nice when you hold it. It does not weigh much so it’s light weight.
